Perhaps we needed the 1m fee or we would have been worse off in terms of FFP for this season. In regards to what we owe Boro for him. We are stupid. But are we that stupid. Clearly Monk would have said he wasnt going to play what with all the strikers we signed. I just think before we all have another pop at the club. We should probably know all the facts.25 points

The sooner we have new ownership the better. Respect for Chansiri for giving it a go, but sadly it hasn’t worked out. Absolutely baffling decision to let someone stay at the club for 5 months who won’t get picked for the first team15 points

Sorry if posted elsewhere. I've just read that a deal was agreed for them to take Rhodes on loan until the end of the season, they were paying his wages in full, at the last minute Chansiri demanded a £1m fee and that was the end of that. Rhoades will now sit out the remainder of the season on huge wages that could have been spent elsewhere. And we wonder why we are financial fizzed. Incompetence of the highest order.12 points

“I don’t think that was ever really the number one aim. Of course, that’s the ambition and we all want to fight for it. We’re going to fight for it. But if I’m honest at the start of the season it wasn’t an ambition for anyone, realistically. That’s not to say we shouldn’t be fighting for that, we are.” That was the quote. The general consensus on here after Bruce left was that mid table would be a realistic aim. Easy to take a headline and bash a manager you maybe never wanted. Which is what many seem to be doing currently.10 points

Some people on here don’t let facts get in the way of a chance to have a pop at the club, they thrive on the negativity.10 points

Given the EFL have released statements at every stage of the proceedings i cannot believe they have won the arbitration side of things and moved to and completed the disciplinary hearing without releasing a statement to that effect. As i said above, from the Rhodes thread, some people on here love to feed the negativity.9 points

Isn’t this a hearing to find out if the charges are lawful, which if they are would then lead to a hearing to find out if we are guilty? I honestly don’t see how anyone could know what potential punishment we will face at this stage.8 points

Tbf, it doesn't take a footballing genius to reach the conclusion that we are not particularly well run. Chansiri has spent up to 150 odd million? Bar the initial upturn, we are now no better than before he came here. For the investment he has put in, we should be in the Prem or at the very least knocking on the door. An inability to buy/sell at the right time (he can't even buy his own stadium at the right time) has cost us and will continue to do so until he pulls his head out of his own backside.8 points

Those clubs are all run a lot differently to ours. We have no CEO or DofF, we only have 7 or 8 outfield players contracted to the club next season, we’re facing an EFL charge and (in terms of promotion) another season has already passed by. It’s bizarre that there’s still posters on here that think DC is doing a good job8 points

I have never come across any other business that operate with wages costs amounting to 130%+ of the total annual turnover. I have never come across any other businesses that are willing to give employees carte blanche on what they earn. I am led to believe that our club made losses equivalent to the full three years' permitted losses in one year alone. I think that FFP or P & S is far from perfect. Adjustments are necessary but there needs to be some mechanism for reining in the excessive spending that occurs in football. Regardless of what you say, there are clubs that do operate within t7 points

I'd love to see a business structure set up. D.O.F CEO, people who know football inside out. Experience throughout the club in all departments. Above all, guidance for the owner rather than having to wait for him to sign off on the bog rolls. It just seems right now that its Chansiri who runs the lot lock stock etc.7 points

Well, I for one think it's a good move. It's not like they're removing heading from the sport, just limiting its use with kids. Most kids hate heading the ball anyway so it'll not be a big miss. They can concentrate with keeping the ball on the deck, and introduce heading once they've got the other basics of the game sorted.6 points

To be fair, I’d settle for something more realistic like keeping a clean sheet before the end of the season.6 points

If there is some hope in reaching the playoffs is Fletch the key man to make this happen? 2 home games coming up 6 points minimum! Let's have some real focus on achieving this! Come on Wednesday!!!!!!!!5 points

I played my first full game at 6 yrs old with a ball like this and my last at 48...always enjoyed heading the ball so up to now at 67 no real damage...although I did agree with guru once on here so it could be coming on5 points

If and when we get points deducted we have one person to blame and it isn't Gibson or any other chairman from any other club, nor is it the EFL or their rules.5 points

Without Fletcher - P13. W2. D3. L8. (0.7 points per game = a 32 point season) With Fletcher - P21. W10. D6. L5 (1.7 points per game = a 79 point season) Yes he is key. No we can’t make the play-offs. We’d need to win at least 9 of our final 12 games. We aren’t going to do that.5 points

You've clearly misjudged the mood of the thread here. We're not looking for an accurate report of what's actually happened, nor even of what's been published by those bastions of truth The Sun and HITC; we're looking for an opportunity to spew some bile towards Chansiri based on one Owlstalker's misreading of a potentially made-up article. If you want to join in, I'd suggest you preface your condemnation with 'If this is true...' just in case, though.5 points

People have said this about every negative news story that's come out of the club over the last few years Because we hear about them on here long before we ever hear them from the club, and even when the stories break the club then drag their heels in doing any damage limitation by putting their heads in the sand and hoping it blows over, rather than outline the facts It never does blow over and often turns out to be absolutely spot on "Wait till we get the facts" is absolutely classic diversion tactics from people who really don't want to get the facts, and4 points

You come off the pitch and look at the results and you think 'that's not too bad'. It is if you look at our own results, Barry!4 points

Hilarious. I still think of what might have been if BB had bossed the game at Wembley. Sadly that day was like men against boys in midfield.4 points

I have no idea if this is true or not. Never heard of this site, I refuse to take something posted on a not-vetted website as gospel truth. I can't believe how many of you are jumping off the deep end with this already, though. For me, I have enough verifiable grievances with DC's stewardship already. I don't need "I heard, they said".4 points

Assuming the story is true, it suggests the fee was brought up at the last minute. If we knew we needed it, but decided to bring it up only at the last minute, it's not going to win us many friends, and may even prevent other clubs from bothering to make offers. It's been mentioned many times on here that we cannot cut our losses on players because it harms our FFP standing. But if we were that on top of things, how the bloody hell did we sell the stadium in the wrong year? Unfortunately everything about this club stinks of ineptitude. Yes, we don't have all the fact4 points

Only if it's true, which I highly doubt. As far as I'm aware Chansiri isn't known for adding things on at the last minute as described there, instead he refuses to meet half-way from a ridiculous starting demand. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.4 points
