  2. Since DC took over, four years ago, we’ve reached the play offs in years 1 and 2, and were it not for a horrendous injury crisis in the middle, we may well have done so again last season To my mind, Carlos did well to reach the play offs in year 2, but with a bit more courage, could have gone even further In season 2, we first started to see the injuries, so I think the Portuguese deserves some credit for making the top six, despite the injuries. Jos then took control of a, still injury ravaged squad, and to be honest, struggled as Carlos did earlier in the year. He wasn’t right for the job,

  4. A lot of truth in there, but I cannot forgive Carlos for the shambles of a display against Udders in the semis of the play offs. Shocking tactics. We should have blown them away at Hillsborough after gaining a draw away. Whoever won that match was going up. Reading were a poor side that over achieved that year, hence Udders promoted. Carlos should have been sacked then.

Football might not be great on the eye but he's got bags of experience including many years in the Premier league guiding Stoke to a Europa league place and winning Premier league manager of the season when at Palace. Like I said not my first choice but we could do worst, stop being drama queens folks.

I don't want to have to make my 7 year old where a helmet in the Grandstand. In the name of God DO NOT appoint Tony chuffin Pulls. Just the thought of it makes me feel a bit sick. 9. I'll never understand the unwavering loyalty shown to Rhodes by our fans, particularly on this website, for someone who has been so underwhelming and such a huge disappointment given his fee, wages and reputation. Most strikers who have been as poor as Rhodes have been laughed out of the door by fans, insults ringing in their ears. Rhodes seems to be able to do no wrong, there is excuse after excuse for his lack of effort, lack of heart and lack of ability.. . "play to his strengths" "get the ball in the box to him" "give him a run of games"... To be honest, I think

I was thinking about it the other day as it was thunderin' an' lightening..and Yes..I had taken a drink or two...and you sorta want to run out into the rain an' the thunder an' the lightenin' shoutin' "Why...Odin!!! ...(or pick yer own Diety)

Nor, are we satisfied, would they if shouted or spoken in a heated way." Now if I was making up a story about how I hadn't said a bad word, but in fact I'd said something else in Spanish, I'd pick a phase that sounded a bit like the bad word. I mean he only had the entire Spanish language to pick from. Perhaps he didn't do that because he's actually telling the truth. Just a thought. The FA have just kicked

  13. Glad it’s not just me who remembers the highlights of CC’s time with us, he made a few strange decisions but gets far too much grief in my opinion. If someone guaranteed we the new manager would produce the next 2 seasons similar to CC’s first 2 - I’d be a very happy man!

  17. So that’s a total of a 9 match ban and a £50k fine for the same incident. An incident where the law of the country decided that no offence had been committed. That is not justice and the FA should hang their heads in shame. I have met FF several times and he is not that type of guy. About time our club backed him fully in his appeal.

  21. Not read the whole thing as thats a lot of pages to get through before breakfast however I have two points to make. 1. I wonder whether the appeal will take 12 months to be heard... I very much doubt it so why has this taken so long? Fair enough the court case had to be out of the way but that was concluded five months ago. The FA process amounts to a bunch of doddery old men sitting down and saying 'do we think it happened chaps?' That shouldn't take five months when, as Forestieri points out in his statement, someones reputation, personality and very essence in terms of how he li

  23. In a normal world I'd expect to be surprised by what has happened after the events of that day. However this is England and this is our FA. I saw that game and Mansfield were at it from the first minute. Encouraged and wound up ,it has to be said by their goon of a manager. The scuffle at the end had been coming all afternoon and it's only my opinion, but it was something which they were desperate to happen. There's a certain mentality in some teams. Usually hungover pub kickers desperate to enjoy a scrap to complete their weekend. These were no different. Des

  24. I don't think you understand our owner very well. When Rhodes was loaned out the contract had an option to buy clause at a figure of £7M. Norwich made an original bid of considerably less than that and DC told them to honour the clause or 'do one'. Now they come back with an offer of £0. I think DC will negotiate agressively and stick 2 fingures up to them. The price to Norwich is £7M, anyone else can make whatever they want and it will be considered but if it's Norwich it's £7M. A deal's a deal. It might not make much sense to most people but I kind of like DC's attit

  28. A fit and confident Rhodes will score goals, of that I’m sure, but only if everything is set up for him to do so. The issue is, will that set up benefit the team? The league campaign is not an exercise to see how many goals we can get Jordan Rhodes to score.

  29. On your second point it had crossed my mind that FF could argue that throughout his time in England he has been discriminated against by the football authorities ( and fans) because of his Argentinian/Italian ethnicity. Earlier in the thread I mentioned a recent report published by Kick it Out, English footballs equality and inclusion organisation. Their task is to challenge all kinds of discrimination in the game, not just racial discrimination, so perhaps FF should be getting his legal people to make contact with Kick it out.

  30. It's time for Jordan Rhodes to get back in the game - with SWFC. With Harris, Bannan and Reach supplying Rhodes can have a great season with us even if he doesn't oust Fletcher from the starting 11. Have we ever seen Rhodes and Flether get a length of game time alongside each other up top? He does tend to be far better playing alongside a big centre forward.

  31. How have you come to the conclusion that Forestieri is 'screwing up' his career? Considering that he was found not guilty in a court of law, it seems bizarre that the FA have decided to ban him for a further six games, and far more importantly, effectively accuse him of racism, on the basis of the same evidence. To have to bear that stain on his character is a very serious matter; to have to bear it without any evidence that it's deserved is utterly appalling. Unless you know something the rest of us don't?

  33. At the end of the day this should be an open and shut case.. whether Fessi said something racist or not it cant be proven. He said he did, he said he didn't. No evidence, no video, no audio... how can any organisation with a disciplinary process accuse and punish someone with lack of evidence. It opens up a can of worms, crazy.

  37. Same uninformative questions, mostly barely audible, same bland answers. Nothing of any note is said. No manager is going to reveal his team or formation or new injury concerns. Anything that is said, could be (and often is) given in a written online statement. Tomorrow's presser. Q1: Can you update us on the manager situation? A1: No Q2: Is an appointment imminent? A2: Don't know Q3: will FF be playing? What frame of mind is he in? A3: I'll let you know the team in due course. FF will be considered. He's disappointed with the verdict,

  41. If Rhodes stays where do you play him. Certainly wouldn't pick him ahead of Fletcher, who was exceptional last year and so far in the friendys. Rhodes is not the type of player who would take physical battering and bring other players into the game that Fletcher takes as the lone central striker. He is not quick or a good enough all around player to pull wide and supplement the attack and midfield in a 433 system. So you have to go with 442 using Fletcher and Rhodes playing centrally up front. With 2 wide midfield players to supply crosses that some say Rhod

  42. I find this incredible. It’s just a kangaroo court. I thought the John Terry accusation and subsequent ban was very dubious and trial by media but, in that case, there was footage off him mouthing something that could have been racist. In Forestieri’s case, there’s absolutely no evidence other than hearsay. From my perspective, Forestieri definitely does not appear to be a racist. His best friends at the club are Nuhiu (a Kosovo Albanian - quite possible of Muslim heritage) and Joao (a black man). We have also seen Forestieri carry out goods deeds for people of all cr
