  1. **Attenborough voice** And so the Quantum Owl takes his first steps into the nightmare that is predicting and hoping for results to suit The Wednesday. For years now, this has been a fruitless and frustrating pursuit for many many of his fellow Owls. Trying to hope for 4 results to go our way on any given match day had been attempted by many, but has rarely seen a happy ending. Last minute goals and total capitulations by teams near the top of the league are the natural predators of the hopeful Owls. Sods law rules this domain and incredibly, the Owls that circle above it are just

  2. Just another 3 points. United can afford to lose it and still go up this season easily. We are awful really, the last few results have just papered over the cracks. We are so poor that wilder could probably rest a few players for the run in, probably should in fact. Look at what happened last time we played em here, won at a canter. Last 2 games against em we've failed to score. Chris, if you're reading this, rest players. Wednesday are no match for your team of hard working spirited warriors who have pashun and do it for minimum wage cos they're blavdes and love the club. You can

  5. For keeping Westy and Hutch under wraps for SB to select at the vinegar stroke of the season, you could very likely be one of the pivitol reasons of us reaching the play-offs by keeping them fit and fresh. There is a little known saying that goes ‘Disasters often create heroes’, you being the disaster, Westy and Hutch being the heroes, thanks again.

  6. No, are you? This is your comment from April last year suggesting we give Jos 2 more years. Hope this helps; ’Give Jos 2 more years like CC had. If he gets us in the playoffs for the next two seasons, I'll say he's at least as good as Carlos. ’

  7. Typical wednesday fans......hedging, hoping and fookin' about... Heres what this thread reads like...if it was just the one post... "Yea I admit theres no chance of the play offs, unless of course there is, which there isn't, but if there was...There probably wouldn't be. while we all, we ALL actually KNOW theres no chance of the play offs, theres always that remote possibility there is...which there isn't. The run of results we need will not happen, it cannot happen, unless of course it happened which it might, but won't , though if it did.............

  8. We will sneak the last play off spot on the last day and the dark side will drop into third . Then we will ruin their brilliant look at us season while we go to the final with most of our season being a shambles . It's the wednesday way

  10. I was talking to a Piggie mate this morning . He is a good lad, who i have known over 30 years, but he was led down the wrong path at an early age by his family of staunch pigs. He said to me today that the squad they currently have would finish in the top half of the premier league if they are promoted. I kid you not. No alcohol had been taken , he was stone cold sober and deadly serious. I have learned over the years its pointless trying to debate such things with him as he is as deluded as they come due to the brainwashing he received as a kid. The other thing he mentioned,

  13. I’m as disappointed as anyone we’ve not sold out, i want Wednesday and Sheffield as a whole to be seen in the best footballing light as possible, show the world how good we can be. But £46 a ticket is vomit inducing and DC wants dragging over hot coals! I wish higher powers in the game would have some back bone and step in

  14. Just looking at the table and we need a lot of results to go our way, plus Norwich to win to annoy the pigs. Nobody is running away with it this year, it's almost like nobody wants it. The scum got a good win last night, and it pains me to say it but I was glad. I really don't want the pigs going up and the fact that they can't now go top by beating us has removed the fear of that happening. 4 games ago we were told it was impossible. Too many teams between us and 6th they said. Look at where we'd be with 6 more points on the board. You're never up until

  18. This is what I really don’t get about Chansiri. He tells us that gate income makes no difference. On this basis you’d think that he’d want to showcase his prize asset in front of the nation’s TV audience and, you never know, a potential purchaser if he really is looking to sell. Empty seats do him no favours.

  21. Thanks for that information Ash I must have been dreaming then. I'm not "making anything up to enhance" any argument. I worked on the South Stand as a cash turnstile on Tuesday Night. Other than 2 all ticket matches Leeds and United (Go on, try using your intelligence and guess why they call them all ticket games) you can always pay on the gate. Having said that the club doesn't always open cash turnstiles on the South Stand due to the relatively new South Stand T/O kiosk, but I can assure you 100% they often do and certainly did Tuesday. You know

  27. I heard one saying he was glad our form had picked up as we might actually think we have a chance and might go at them meaning they will hammer us.

  28. You do know they started that? They kept going on about the 5 point lead with 2 games in hand so obviously when we beat them and overhauled them as they capitulated hysterically we naturally and kindly re-used the phrase towards them. They became brave enough to use it against us again last season but it fell away for them once more. I have a sneaky feeling it will all come back to haunt them this season too.

  34. Wednesday would win on Monday, moving three points from the top six (As it stands) Wednesday would squeeze into sixth place on the final day whilst the pigs blow their chances and end up in third. Wednesday knock them out over two legs to reach Wembley. Believe!!

  35. ...not a fookin’ earthly chance, never going to happen, we don’t have the bottle or the battle or the luck or fortune for it to happen. Forget this season ...not a prayer. Bit of a new manager bounce that’s all. Miserable, but calm mid-table mediocrity, nailed on... ...just for Mr Asteener. ...*...mind the gap through ..eh, eh, eh, ...mind the bastarding gap...you never know!!! ..*...

  39. There's a number of reasons why we won't sell out but the main one is the price of tickets. Anyone near minimum wage just won't be able to afford it, especially those with family to support.

  42. The derby will tell volumes about our progress under SB, he knows how to use every second and how to slow the game down, well I’m assuming that he was listening when Ferguson was talking. All that we need is 6th place, hopefully not on goal difference. I couldn’t give a throw about the other results, some will go for us, some will go against us, three points against the blunts is all that currently concerns me, then it’s three points against Derby, and if we manage that the play-offs are well and truly achievable.
