There will be an empty seat next to me on the North this Saturday. My lovely mother in law has just passed away suddenly. We have been going to games together for over 30 years. Many of which as ST holders. She loved Wednesday and always had many stories to tell. She loved an away day but more recently just play off finals.... Will miss her and match days will never be the same.... Rest in Peace.56 points

Hi all. So I never post but read daily and so I'm very aware of what the Owls family will do for each other. Please bear with me cos this could be a long one. So, I'm sure a lot of you remember Graeme Lee (Spike) who was brought by Chris Turner from Hartlepool. Played a few seasons for us and then moved to Donny. Lovely bloke who always gave his best and was always the first to help when people wanted "off pitch" stuff. He's now settled back in Middlesbrough with his wife and two young children. Now for the "sh1tty" bit. His lovely wife Gemma14 points

Still slightly surprised at Matias's recent squad omissions given he's one of the few with a yard of pace in his boots and he's actually nicked a couple of goals this year. That and the fact we've adopted a system which he was playing in in Portugal when we signed him.11 points

Didnt work? wasnt the Sunderland 13th and 10th in the prem? try asking the mackems how top half of the prem would do for them right now! as for Villa. after multiple managers spunked money up the wall to take them backwards, SB lowered the average age of the squad, wheeled and dealed to the point of a near zero net spend, and took them from the relegation zone to the play-off final narrow defeat to fulham. he has had something like 4 promotions in his last 6 full championship seasons. did anyone get excited when SB was appointed co11 points

Sorry for the following attempt at translation (courtesy of Google translate, and a little reading between the lines): Football comes from the street where it's worth everything, where there is a lot of passion to win and celebrate with your friends in the neighborhood. Now we are lucky to be professionals but that passion that comes from the street never changes because you repeat it with your colleagues even though it's no longer just a hobby. And the most beautiful of all this is the passion, the feeling that you have inside for all this. But unfortunately they want to take away5 points

I couldn't care less what Leeds do, it's the pigs I'm bothered about. Granted the large majority of Leeds fans are n*bs but I only know a couple and they're actually quite sound, also in general Wednesday aren't even on Leeds fans radar. The pigs on the other hand are a completely different beast, if they go up it will put them miles ahead of us as a club as we struggle to rebuild our squad under the shadow of FFP and they'll know it. The very thought of them in the top flight is unbearable, in an ideal world I'd see Norwich and West Brom go up with Bristol following in5 points

Ok, well bare in mind that my training is based on trying to finish the race rather than be competitive at the pointy end. As I see it there are two sides to the training. The first, and the side I suspect you are talking about, is the physical side. When considering this, the point to remember is that after day 2 (at the latest) you are going to be doing a lot more walking than running, and may not even run again in the race. This means that you need to factor a lot of walking into your training. You also need to bear in mind, running easily and efficiently is5 points

Im hoping norwich and you go up nothing would give me more pleasure than the pigs and the arrogant disgusting leeds fail. Both come top 2 for having the most moronic fans .5 points

Obviously marrying her daughter was the start... She was an Owl as a kid and ended up not going due to no one to go with. My dad and I took her along with us at first, but he died a year or so after and we just kept it going..... She will be laid to rest in her beloved shirt, scarfe and hat...I will keep her ticket though.4 points

Cant be any worse than Bannan has been lately. Id rather have him on bench than Pelupessy. ABDI TIME Aint nobody, Like Almen Abdi. Made me happy, When he scored his goal !4 points

I like the look of this, very similar to the Wolves setup. With a line of 3 strong centrebacks, hard working wide men, and pace behind a central striker.4 points

I grew up on traveller sites, went to school in Barnsley and started going to Wednesday with my older brothers & some mates I had met who were all from Barnsley, even when our site moved I was still a Wednesdayite. My Dad was old school Irish Gypsy who didn't really like football. Left the community in the late 80's & have lived on the Cross ever since with my non traveller Wife (who is from Sheffield) & my 3 kids are all mad wednesday fans3 points

12 Angry Men - Henry Fonda, that bloke from 'Crazy Like a Fox' from the 1980s, and some others. Had never seen it, but bought it as a blind buy even though Peter Hitchens says it's his favourite film. Well, what a great film. Love these character-driven films. Acting top-notch and gripping from the off, even though it's all staged in a single location. 9.5 gavels out of 103 points

His own fault, or his advisors fault for me. I can understand why he was annoyed when Rhodes and Winnall signed. His pathway to the first team was even harder. Instead of looking for a move and demanding more money, perhaps he should have just kept working hard and scoring goals? Instead he fell out with the club who had given him everything in his career so far. The irony is if he stayed focused and kept banging them in for our under 23s he would have most definitely had a chance under Jos. All the injuries we had last season and Luhukay’s policy of giving youngsters ago, Hirst ma3 points

So yawn time for most of you. I was at Hillsborough on Jan 12 but missed the match against Wigan on Jan 19. On Jan 12 the pitch was in pretty good condition but by last Saturday against Reading it was dreadful and threadbare. So just one home match, heat lights on every night, underfloor heating when frost is due and favourable weather - what has happened? looking at other grounds in the Premier League and Championship on TV, every other ground with Desso looks fine. Just look at Bramall Lane and the New York stadium where Dave Galley is doing a brilliant job. I know it’s the same fo2 points

I really liked Graeme Lee as he played during a difficult time for the club and always gave his all. Wasn't afraid to stick his head in and i particularly remember a last minute headed winner against Bristol City at the Lepp end as i was caring for a mate's Dad that day. I'm not very tech savvy either but will be venturing onto that site to do my bit. WAWAW2 points

I agree that there's probably more to Abdi's disappointing time with us than just his bad attitude, but it's too late to give him a chance. What's the point in playing him except perhaps to help him get a contract elsewhere? Abdi won't be the missing link that pushes us to promotion, or saves us from relegation. With or without him, we will finish between 7th and 21st. So unless there's the remotest chance of Bruce wanting him next season, there's absolutely no point in playing him. Even if Abdi puts in a series of MotM performance to end the season, does anyone really think we'll2 points

Wednesday have 2 home games before the Derby game. Of course if I had to choose to win one of the next 3 games would be v Sheffield United. But hope the players are concentrating on Saturdays game then the mid week game v Brentford. No excuse for me a poor performance because we are more bothered about the United game.2 points

I was born not too far from where you were. i used to attend home and away with a guy from hoyland common. things have altered a tad since 1968, in fact way more than a tad, way, way more than a tad. now buxton may not be full of 'geriatric old rich duffers', and I've not seen anyone who has posted that it was. but lets be fair here, it's certainly more 'gentile' than some other places around, that may also have moved on a tad since 1968. I presently work with numerous dingles, and they all to a man BITTERLY F*****G HATE WEDNESDAY, and will repeatedly tell you so, it's wha2 points
