  1. Obviously I haven't actually read it but anyone quoting our loss of £21m as a means to conclude anything is not really dealing with the facts. That £21m loss in 16/17 equates to a little over £14m once allowable deductions are made. Add that to around £6.6m the year before and you come to around £21m over the 2 seasons. Assuming because of player amortisation, we won't be able to reduce the 16/17 figure for 17/18, even an FFP loss of £18m would still put us within permitted losses. We lost £14m in 16/17 and let's say a similar amount in 17/18, we will need to show the

  14. I enticed it out of your swim by feeding heavier. Another 4 hours and I’d have finished with both skimmers in your peg. That skimmer was caught on a piece of Mars Bar. Sprayed with amino acid. But don’t tell the others, it’s a secret.

  15. That's silly on it's face. The world hasn't changed in 2 years, and 2 yearsa go he was scoring the goals that got Boro promoted and banging them in for Blackburn in the early part of the season. For us he's scored when he's had actual time on the pitch, instead of carlos' "have 20 minutes". Under Carlos last season, in games Rhodes played more than an hour for us he scored a goal ever 2 games, even with our injuries, defensive mindset and poor supply. That's just a straight up fact. Under Jos he hardly played, barely 300 minutes from the 20th of January to the end of the season. Joao

  24. You will be in good company ! I`ll probably spend all match sorting tangles out , Steve will lose sight of his night glow waggler by wearing shades, Hugh will have to spend all match stood up after I`ve done a "full body search" for razor fish.

  25. I’d be taking the opportunity to ask the good anglers like Hugh and Steve loads of questions, to see what you can learn from them. Especially during the match, and watching what they’re doing. Best place to stand is at the water’s edge or high up on the bank. No point asking questions until they start catching though.

  36. Well after reading these last 3 pages with watering eyes,I'll get on with latest match update, fished at Sykehouse on the twin isle lake ,conditions perfect for it,cloudy a nice breeze on the lake no sign of spawning fish, perfect I thought drew on end of last island ,a long cast about 45-50m ,had been told plenty of carp close to island, after 1 and a half hours on razor fish and popups ,zilch in the net, then got a good skimmer followed by a decent carp,we are in ,wrong again.Nobody was catching much guy to my left had 2 carp and a few skimmers, apprentice on my right no bites at all,in fact it w

  37. Normally I'd be there like a shot but we are just starting to rip the roof off the house to add another storey. I don't think it would be wise to swan off for a couple of days at present. All I can manage at the present time is going to be a few hours in the evening a couple of time a week. Once we are watertight and secure I can get back to some serious fishing. Hope you all have a great day and I look forward to hearing all the details.

  40. Good to have someone making an actual conversation of it, rather than just stating things blindly. In the bottom half of the premier league, the quality has hugely dropped, i think that's fair to say. And the current fashion amoung those clubs it to defend for their lives and hoof it at a fast/powerful lone striker. Arnautovic at West Ham, Gray at Watford, Vardy and Ihenacho at Leicester, Gayle at Newcastle, Wilson at Bournemouth.. the list goes on. The bottom of the prem is full of it. Desperate not to lose and hoping to win. The condensed nature of the bottom half of the Prem wou

  46. Rhodes record suggests that if a chance comes along he buries a good percentage of them sadly for him he's joined a club that since he arrived play a system that doesn't create that many chances .......he's a goalscorer who hasn't got another string to his bow to warrant a place ahead of players like hooper, joao,FF who have the ability to create there own chances
