  1. If he didn't want to sign as soon as he had the chance, I'd rather he fuckedoff to be honest.

  4. Mick Lyons - He'd destroy any predatory wildlife barehanded Roland Nilsson - I have no factual evidence, but I reckon he would knock up some great meals from basic ingredients Mark Chamberlain - Obvious choice because we need to get off the island and he was the best sub we've ever had at the club!

  8. There's some crowing on here about Villa's financial plight - losing £6 million per month - so it may a good time to remember our finances. Especially as we look forward to new signings and loans. Last financial year, we lost £1.72 million per month. However, we don't have Villa's saleable assets like Grealish who they are asking £30 million for. And Conor H. must be worth £10 mill now.

  13. Fletcher is on £40,000 ish , Abdi £30,000 ish , Matias £30,000 ish = £100,000 a week x 52 weeks in a year = £5,200,000 or £5.2m a season Add Rhodes into the equation on a report £40,000 a week that's another £2m a season you can very quickly see where the money is going.

  14. Given the choice between a contract upwards of 10k and one less then 1.5k, anyone on here who says they would choose the latter out of loyalty is lying.

  15. It's a no brainer mate. Anyone who still wants to sign him should hang their head in shame. We're better than taking it up thearse from some no mark.

  20. Hunt is twice the player that Yiadom is. You cannot be serious with this post? then to say we ought to be more like the Manchester clubs... do you not think that they do their business because money is no object? And, behind Barca and Real, playing for either Manchester club is a player’s dream. Unfortunately, we are either a stepping stone or players will wait for better, more attractive offers before joining us. What a bizarre couple of comparisons

  21. Can i ask you where you got these figures from? it's ok shooting everyone down who is questioning your post but where is your evidence to back this up? if Matias gets paid £30,000 a week then surely that would mean we have 10 or more players on a bigger salary than him? that would make our wage bill the highest in the championship which it isnt, think we are about 7th in the wage table. im sorry but there is no way we folk out £5.2m a season on 3 players that hardly get a game

  22. I'd rather see us give our academy players more chances than sign players like John O'Shea, he was gash when we played them at Sunderland.

Following the passing of Northern province tribal king Jamonbu we learned you are sole benefactor of the estate. Sir, kindly PM me to discuss your estate details. Sincerely, Dr. Tinubu

  27. Brilliant striker for us........brave, commited, never bullied, guaranteed 20 goals a season and a perfect foil for DEH, yet all the majority of Wednesdayites can say when his name is mentioned is "what abaht that miss in replay". Definitely a what coulda been moment, but dont let it cloud what a superb signing he was.

  29. Dear Mr Chansiri, We are two great talents in the Championship, seeking a new home with a fantastic, brilliant club with wonderful supporters who have a chance of promotion next season, and we’re both prepared to take a massive pay cut to play for Sheffield Wednesday. We are both available for a trial anytime that is convenient to your lovely little club. We’ve always wanted to play for Sheffield Wednesday and both recognise the club as a fantastic, traditional, club with a rich history. We’re also both big Atdhe Nuhiu fans and have always admired the work of Jos Luhuk

  30. Jesus - I'm guessing no one on here has ever moved jobs for a better salary then

  31. So Clare has currently refused to sign for Wednesday. We don't know why, but it could be a ridiculously low salary offer, or it could be he wants to go where he'd get more game time (Villa wasn't a good option, but might now be) or perhaps he thinks development at Wednesday could be bettered elsewhere. Whatever the reason, now it's near crunch time, if he decides to stay at Wednesday we can't say no. If we withdraw the contract offer we get no compensation from wherever he ends up. But regardless, I'd welcome him back. It would be an embarrassing about face for him and

  33. Are you also annoyed we got rid of Loovens and Wallace just for not being good enough any more? Not very loyal from us. They're employees, they move for better wages and we get rid if they don't perform. Loyalty doesn't go either way.

  39. Not too sure what some people are expecting... we’ve got a massively unbalanced squad that’s probably a bit too heavy and our main focus needs to be on shifting some dead wood out I’m more than happy with using the loan market if it’s done correctly and addresses the areas were lacking in with players that will help us push on

  41. Ive always thought that if a team gets relegated they should be punished .. Not assisted to get straight back up ... West Brom have cut their cloths accordingly as have Burnley in the past when relegated . In my view Villa have carried on spending and behaving like the big time Charlies they thought they were and expected to go straight back up . Well tough they didn't and should be punished accordingly for living beyond their means ...

  44. Totally agree mate. If a player doesn't want to sign for us because he is chasing the money sod them , and sign players who are driven by playing football rather than being bench warmers picking up fat pay cheques.
