I think the clue is in the quote where he says championship survival should be the “first goal”. Can you name ANY championship club who’s “first goal” wouldn’t be exactly the same ? Shitstirring for the sake of it !17 points

In recent years, the home game against Bristol City in 2016 stands out for me. Massive lightning/rainstorm before the game Waterfalls pouring off the North Stand roof, frantic attempts to clear the deluge off the grass with brooms, saucepans and bog mops Kickoff delayed 15 minutes Crazy game where we play appallingly for 45min and go in 0-2 down to a one-man show from a Premier League teenager. Second half: Claw one back Give away a penalty Red card for Hutch (fell over and tripped the last man with his face ) Penalty hits post R14 points

His performances have earned him another year imo. Always gives 100%. Excellent attitude. Sets a good example to younger players.9 points

Objectives for next season: 1) Enough points to avoid relegation. 2)Enough points to finish in the top 6. 3) enough points to finish in top 2. 4) Enough points to be Champions. Take each step as they come.8 points

If we have any kind of promotion ambitions we will happily let him leave If we want to be bottom to mid table we will sign him A few goals and effort does not make you good enough. Donkey really! Lots of other big and strong players we could have who better. Simple really8 points

Don't really care, I just wish the club would stop giving teams like Forest and Villa the entire away end when all they let us have is a poxy 2,000.7 points

A narrative that Smith barely knew? There has been nothing to suggest that. The narrative is Warner pushed for it, Smith agreed (Hardly barely knew what was going on) and that Bancroft was a willing participant in it. Warner’s teammates want nothing to do with him as he has been trying to spread the blame around, while Smith is accepting his responsibility. I guess we will find out the truth when Warner releases his autobiography. ”Davey told Stevey that we should use ouchy paper to make ball go funny. Mitchy, Joshy and Gaz likes Davey’s idea too. Before we start, I’ll assume that we have a relatively sized budget which is helped by the sale of a few key players. Obviously, this may not be the case- but where is the fun otherwise? Again, we wouldn’t be signing all of these just a suggestion of some we could pick from with a budget. So to contradict everything I’ve just stated my first suggestion would be a free transfer- Lee Gregory. Sheffield lad and he would surely relish the chance to come back here. Florian Josefzoon- expected cost £3M. Absolutely lightning on the wing for Brentford and out of contract next4 points

Just a reminder, this is the Brighton fan that sent FF off for "diving" against Hull after Dawson literally held his hands up to acknowledge he deserved the booking he thought he was about to get. Cheating barstool. Hope he gets an accidental Hutch kick in the gonads and has to get replaced by the fourth official.4 points

I don't think your reasoning is odd but I do think it's not consistent, you say Stop offering people who are crap at football new contracts. But then you say Loovens should be offered a new deal. He's 34 now so realistically, his playing days are numbered. I don't believe his playing days are numbered I believe they are gone as far as championship football is concerned. True he has been a great player and captain for the club, but, as numerous posters have stated we can't afford the luxury of renewing contracts just because players have been good servants to the club.4 points

Looking at those retro shirts for sale has got me all nostalgic. Lots of things are mentioned on here about the great team of the 90s but I wondered what people's special memories were of the 80s. I started supporting Wednesday as a teenager in 1984. My first match was a night match at home to Everton in the 85/86 season when we lost 5-1 (we could never beat Everton). Rubbish result but I was hooked. I used to collect Pannini stickers of our players and stick them on my wardrobe. I bought Shoot magazine and used to buy the Green Un if we won. I sat in the uncovered seat3 points

Players giving 100% is terrific news and on a par with Boyd’s comment about players turning up for training and meetings on time when Jos started. Absolute troopers the lot of them, and would not surprise me at all if we took a couple of spots in the Sports Personality of the Year awards.3 points

I disagree. We have some crap players, we have some disorganised players, we have players that are not match fit, we have players carrying injuries, but I'd say that, by and large, all our players do their best every game. The fact that sometimes "best" isn't good enough does not mean they aren't giving their all. Examples of players not giving 100%: see De Bilde, Bothroyd, Leon Knight. Every one of the current squad are light years apart from this type of player.3 points

If his career has been ended prematurely due to bad management it will be criminal negligence by the previous manager. I would never forgive that. Lee was one of our saviours when Gray took over from Jones. I seriously hope he makes a full recovery.3 points
