  1. Then you must be blind. The changes are obvious. Fitter harder working better organised more direct quicker on the counter .....oh yes and it doesn't take thirty passes to move the ball forward six inch.

  2. So long as we're at home. And yeah, I'd love to get Swansea. What with Matias, Venâncio, João, Boyd, and perhaps Abdi, we'll be an unknown quantity for CC!

  3. From what I’d read & heard about Jos, we’ve got exactly what I expected - He gets his teams fit, hardworking and organised. He has a very good record at getting clean sheets, he also has a good record of promotions. Don’t forget he’s only been here a few weeks and doesn’t have our “better” players to choose from. I think he’s a manager we will need to be patient with, I don’t think he’s “Carlos the second” at all.

  4. I've just seen the Under 18's have won 3-1 and the Under 16's have won 5-1 against their City Rivals at the greatest academy that's ever existed

  5. A goal in his last game. 2 assists tonight. Got to be good for his confidence. Hopefully he can build on this. Chuffed for the lad

  6. How ace are our young goalies looking? Not to mention Westwood becoming a colossus in his time here. Top job that man. Worth his weight in goal*, is our Andy. * that pun is by the way, what do I win?

  7. No one has yet mentioned that he has managed to turn Nuhiu into Ibrahimovic.

  8. Thought he was great tonight. Though I couldn't quite see whether he was at fault for their goal; other than that he didn't put a foot wrong. Was put under unnecessary pressure with backpasses, all of which he dealt with admirably, made a couple of good saves and looked far more comfortable than you'd expect a youngster of his relative inexperience to. Well played Cameron.

  9. 4 games in and it starts........ why aren't we playing like real Madrid, Jo's out..... ffs Anyone with the slightest grasp of football will have seen a miraculous change since Carlos..... and I loved Carlos Some of our " fans" are clueless

  10. What a great pairing both today and Carlisle game. Assisted goals for each other. Big Dave holds Ball up fantastic. How he takes pace off a goal kick with his chest and controls it at feet is fantastic. Joaos first touch is 3 yard away from him. Marco did some fantastic running and can’t believe how fast he actually is. Maybe we’ve never seen him un-injured before. I think both deserve to start in league. Dave usually does well against boro. Not many defenders can handle him. Hope he signs new deal

  12. Do you think we’d have scored 3 goals under Carlos last night?? We’d have gone a goal up and immediately sat back, inviting them on, they’d have scored, we’d have imploded and lost the game.

  13. tbf Wednesday had 32 players over the age of 24 in the under 16's and a team made up of established Champions League winners in the under 18's. Pigonomics.

  15. why are bye so critical after a win. honestly the fans are part of the problem. how are our players supposed to get any confidence. Give JL a little breathing room to shape a team in to a unit witout laying in to the players. granted this season has not been what we were expecting but its time to build confidence not tear it down.

  17. Given the shiitstorm that enveloped S6 prior to his arrival, I think JL is doing a first rate job. Undefeated 3 clean sheets, could easily have been 4 Players Looking fitter & sharper individually & collectively Creating chances & Scoring Goals Involving younger players Rebuilding Team spirit Re-energising previously 'out of favour' players Varied formations / Strategies the players can understand and execute Instilled some much needed Authority & Discipline So much to like and if this is what Jos has managed to achieve with our reserve team within a couple of weeks, just imagine... I've seen enough to conclude that he is the real deal and think he will get us promoted within his next 2 full seasons

  18. Fred and Matias look to be quality players and yet frozen out by Carlos. Utterly bizarre waste of resources by cc.

  19. clear for anyone to hear as i just said in another fred he manages to make a 3-1 win with a patched up side sound like the worst game he's ever seen may have been rubbish quality but it's a feckin win listen to him verbally spaffing over chris and the blaaaades playing like barcafeckinlona

  22. Sometimes I can’t believe what I’m reading on this site, Jos is Carlos the second and Joey p is crap.WTF They have both been here 2 minutes and already they are getting slated ( beggars belief imo)

  25. Apart from having more shots on target last night than in the whole of November

  26. The thing that gets up my nose is the overinflated comparison of the academies always harping on about the vast superiority of Shirecliffe. I don't suppose it matter a jot to them that the Blunts under 16's and Under 18's were firmly put to bed by the Owls 5-1 and 3-1 respectively on their own patch earlier today.

  27. I'd rather play 5 at the back and have 8 shots on target in 90 minutes than 4 and have 5 on target in a month But I'm just weird like that I guess

  28. Nice to see Boyd’s been keeping fit with a bit of Morris dancing

  29. If the Blunts had played last night, and been the first team to qualify for the 5th round, I reckon that would have made their roll of honour plaque.

  30. so is Jordan Rhodes not human, is he just supposed to ignore the witch hunt orchestrated by Giddings this week? More to the point, what purpose does this vitriol serve if not to unsettle the player and his colleagues? Most on here are just expressing our displeasure, we don't have an agenda.....

  31. Lowest ranked team at home please, avoid the big boys. We are 1 win away from a quarter final. The pigs would put that on their honours list.

  32. I think JL has to enter the market to get us some more scapegoats. I mean Big Dave? He is hardly fulfilling his role as a scapegoat. Goals. Running defences ragged. Man of the match performances. Same with Adam Reach. Shocking.

  34. So what you saying....we should be getting a full house for Reading? It's different for everybody, for me, being a Wednesday tragic, I'd be at every home game no matter who it was or what comp it was in....County Cup, friendlies, testimonials, I just couldn't stay away but, for others it's a sliding scale of what they'll pay who'll they'll pay it to see & when it's happening & to be fair it's all good....if someone wants to only go once in a lifetime it alright by me, we're all different, if you've never been but like Wednesday & call yourself a Wednesday fan, that's alright with me as well, I guess I just don't think anyone should be judged over what they wish to do regarding football.

  35. Got home at 6.15, had to drive from west Yorkshire.. no problem Good game tonight, it could have been 5-5. Well worth the cheap entrance fee

  36. Garbage attendance let's be honest, Chansiri has pretty much given it away tonight and no one has bothered to show up. Atmosphere wasn't bad to be fair, but still feel that a cup game with the prices we should be doing better. Whoever bothered to show up for Carlisle and Reading should get priority on the next round if we get a big draw or a small away allocation.

  37. Brilliant save at 1-0. Both young keepers are excellent and may be time to cash in on Westwood.

  41. Let's just think back to the Paris attacks. A security guard died doing what the people at our stadium is doing - checking for people that are up to no good. Now imagine if that terrorist had got into the stadium..... These checks, whilst a minor inconvenience to us decent folk out there, are a deterrent as well.
