OMDT Fulham -V- Wednesday

Recommended Posts

Good morning night-owls!
Does that even make sense? Who knows.
Night Owls, early birds. Whatever...

… Saturday is here again!

This week we’re off down to face Fulham at  The Cottage

Craven Cottage...mmmmm.......

“Craven” –

  • contemptibly lacking in courage

“Cottage”

  • 1 to perform homosexual acts in a toilet
  •  2 A small house

Either way it’s not the greatest name for a football ground is it. Whether you go with option one or option two...

I’m going to go for option two.

Mainly as I don’t think there is anything Cowardly about having you Hampton touched in a public toilet, in fact I daresay rather than being cowardly it probably takes some balls.

So yes, lets go for Option two. Craven Cottage – “The little House of Cowards”
Even though their  crest does look a bit like a dilapidated public gentlemen’s room.

Carlos is probably glad to be away from home.

It’s been a couple of weeks from hell in Sheffield for the affable Portuguese manager.

Every word he’s said has turned a non-story into a story.

Even a superb second half performance against Sunderland has been largely overlooked to focus on players not currently in the team.
By God these fackers will stop at nothing to create a story!

I’m surprised we haven’t seen this twist on the tale.

Anyway...
Team news is anyones guess. I can’t keep up with the injuries. Is Abdi injured again? He looked it when he came off.  But is he really. Who knows. Loovens? Hutch?

Will we go with the Diamond again? Or 4-3-3?
Lets play safe and just say it’ll be a variant on 4-4-2!

Fulham will definitely be 4-3-3 as they’ve used it in all their games so far even when the personnel has changed .
Oji could make his debut for them for Piazon who broke his leg in the week.

I just hope we get a result.
I cannot face Owlstalk if we lose and the 392872 “We should have got Jokanovic” threads that will spring up if we don’t get a win.

So. Chaps get your hamptons out.....ladies prepare to flick the bean as we repeat the magyk mantra

We, the  mystical Owl cohorts,
power up from that that's in Daisys' shorts,
do release the energy of our lustful sin,
and donate it to make sure of a Wednesday win!

Venue: Cottage Star

The Imperial Forces -- under orders from cruel Darth Slaviša Jokanović
hold Princess Chansiri hostage,
in their efforts to quell the rebellion against The Wednesday Empire.
Atdhe Nuhiu and Carlos Carvalhal,
captain of the South Stand, work together with the companionable droid duo TN-GO
and R-3WO (Ross Wallace) to rescue the beautiful princess,
help the Rebel Alliance, and restore Faith and Victory to the Wednesday.

Sheyi Ojo could make his Fulham debut after joining on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The Cottagers will be without Lucas Piazon after he broke his leg in their midweek draw at Leeds,
while Tomas Kalas returns from a one-match ban.
Glenn Loovens could return from a back injury for Wednesday,
 although Frederico Venancio may deputise.
The Owls must decide whether to recall forward Fernando Forestieri after a reported training ground lightsaber incident.

Match facts

  • Fulham have kept just one clean sheet in their last 16 matches against Sheffield Wednesday in all competitions (4-0 in Dec 2014),
  • with Marcus Bettinelli keeping net in that clash.
  • The Owls won all three matches vs Fulham in 2015-16 but failed to win either Championship fixture against the Lilywhites in 2016-17 (D1 L1).
  • Fulham have drawn their opening three league games to a season - they've never opened the campaign with four draws. Including play-offs,
  • Sheffield Wednesday have lost just one of their last six Championship away games (W3 D2), though it was their season opener against Preston.
  • Sam Winnall has scored in three of his last five league appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, this after netting in one of his first 11.
  • Slaviša Jokanović is afraid of Ducks and has his wife check under his bed every night for the sinister beasts
  • Pauli REALLY needs to come back and do the OMDT

Whatever you views on Carlos and the boys lets get 100% behind them today I'm going for a Wednesday 2-1 win

COME ON WEDNESDAY!!!!

Pace to burn for Fulham. Palmer at RB? Shudders.

Probably have someone close in front of him to double up if we go 4-4-2 again.. maybe Boyd,  he's fit as a butchers dog and doesn't mind tracking back and helping out.

I hope Fletcher starts, I think his hold up play is absolutely vital when we're on the road.
