poite
Everything I expect from forestieri. Not surprised in the slightest. But he's the best player we've had since di canio and apparently that means he can (or cant/wont) do whatever pleases.
Almat
It's all turning to sheeite, isn't it?
meggoisgod
Play him on the left but tell him not to track back...fk it...it would completely throw the opposites into confusion...plus we play with 4 centre half's at present so why track back anyway
Lord Snooty
This sort of thing should never make the press room. Whether deliberate or naive it should be kept quiet. On the other hand, a player who demands where he plays, unless he's scoring every single week and attracting the attention of the world's super clubs should do as he's told. This is the Championship. He's not Pele captaining Brazil.

NorthernOwl
Would be really interesting to see the context this was said in. Can't help but wonder whether this is being made to sound worse than it is by the way it has been reported. If you actually read what has been said there is nothing that says that FF has refused to play wide left - all he's done is answer a direct question from Carlos as to why his pre season form was poor. There's also nothing to say Carlos has played FF up front because of FF's preference. Maybe he just fancied him in that position for this specific game. Think there's a chance we are all making something of nothing here (me included).
woodys
Here we go another meltdown over f all. If he doesn't think his best position is on the left due to the way he's asked to play what's wrong with him saying that? I haven't seen anywhere he's refused to play there. Usual suspects will however be writing their own narrative from this

And whatever a player thinks is best...shouldn't sway the manager from doing what he thinks is best. Which is the clear indication from the statement
pazowl55
Play Matias, Forestieri and Joao as a front 3. With Lee infront of Hutchinson and Bannan in a midfield 3 and then the latter two can both play Hollywood balls all day long.
Mystic Neg
He's not as good as he thinks he is. Perhaps does something good every 7 or 8 games when he's up top and we've a far more dangerous team when he's on the left. If he is really moaning about this then Carlos can take him with him at sometime in the next month. Why do our better players always have some kind of problem whether its injuries, discipline or as in this case a tendency to be complete numpties. bigash_swfc
I'd send him to the same place as McGugan for this! Chuffin Alcatraz. Solitary confinement, let him do his coaching badges for good behaviour

jrh
Strange question from Carlos. Was his pre season really that poor? Didn't play that much on the left anyway did he?
