james o connor
Regardless of what some kid says on twitter , Hirst , his dad and his advisors will know that . The lad should be in the first team . But if he was your kid / client or whatever , would you want Carlos anywhere near him because I wouldn't

I do think the divisions in the fan base are deepening [evidenced by the bother at the match yesterday] and each camps feelings are getting more entrenched. Some thing needs to happen pretty quickly, hopefully we will go on a long winning run playing scintilating attacking football and everyone gets back on the same page if not I think you are right re the manager. keefdave
Never mind Hirst, Matt Penney is the best left back on the books.
bigthinrob
It's just getting nonsensical now. It's turning into almost anti Carlos hysteria now. Any reason or logic has just gone out of the window. neo hippy
Going on yesterday's performance he needs to be as far away from our first team as possible. One half chance per game is hardly going to help him develop. Get him out on on loan to Rotherham, Donny or chessy. Teams against poor opposition that create chances for strikers

He could well be closer than Hirst to breaking through - you're right. It's probably our weakest position. Will Carlos give him a go against Chessie? Probably not. Birley Owl 1867
It's a shame for him, had this been the summer of 2014 he would have likely been our starting striker alongside Stevie May, ready or not. A few of the other young lads like Penney and Stobbs may have got regular game time too. What is up with Stobbs anyway, 2 first team appearances 2 years apart is very weird. The chances of us going on a long winning run playing scintillating football, are about as likely as Stanley Matthews signing for Wednesday! It's not a shame for him mate, we have a track record of destroying up & coming talent. Also would you want to expose any of the youngsters to the current febrile atmosphere. One misplaced pass and the dissent would kick in and any confidence would evaporate. Let's wait till the new Messiah arrives and all will be Milk & honey, everyone will be hugging, tickets will be £10,00 a game, topless waitresses will deliver half time drinks and we won't drop a point all season whilst playing fast, incisive football that the masses will adore. Introduce Hirsty and his mates into the fray then and everything will be just fine and dandy.
