He did travel to Portugal along with Loovrens, according to Carlos Lee is starting training this week and and according to the star it was hip but they didn't go into details.

Not like the star to publish an article without details ...

Carlos said that Lee felt a small pain whilst training. They decided not to risk playing him in Portugal but if it was an official game he would have played.

Make of that what you will but it doesn't sound a serious problem. There were also photos of him in training pre the Portugal trip.

Don't panic yet we also have Abdi and Hutchinson in centre midfield.........Oh hang on a sec.

Thanks for the updates everyone. Lee in our midfield does give us something extra, but if he isn't fit, then it's a perfect opportunity for someone to step in and fill the void. Who that will be, well your guess is as good as mine :columbo:

Abdi and Hutch ! What a cm that is

Worrying about half the team being injured in the first couple of months of the season is a bit premature. If it happens so be it but it probably won't.

Chill. Plenty of time to worry once the season starts, preseason is the time for irrational optimism.

There's a shot of Lee on the sidelines in the OS Portugal trip gallery. Was pleased to see him there even if he was only doing very light training. Hugely important part of our team and it's great that they seem to be working on squad unity as well as fitness in the build-up to season starting. Spirits seem to be pretty high in the Owls camp from what I could tell by the Portugal highlights etc.

Given his usual fitness levels I can see Lee being more than ready for a return within a couple of months, but would be daft to rush him. We've got the playing staff to cover his energy levels - especially with Boyd coming in - until he's firing on all cylinders again.

Sack the physio......oh hang on we tried that

Sacking the guy who doesn't believe in fitness work would be more appropriate, no wonder the players enjoy training under CC.  There is no wonder we have so many players blowing out of thier arses 20 mins into a game and so many struggling with injury.  It is no coincidence injurys dropped off under Megson, and it's no coincidence loads of supposed crap teams manage to beats us.  The fitness levels within the squad are abysmal.

I have to say the difference in fitness levels between us and Udders in playoff 2nd leg was stunning, particularly in extra time

Even the Happy Clappers on here have acknowledged how much fitter Udders were than us. Well, such a simple thing like fitness has brought them a 200 million pot of gold whilst we are still in Division 2. Needs sorting ASAP.

Rubbish.  Fitness alone didn't get Huddersfield promoted.  Over the past couple of seasons we've salvaged games in the last 10 minutes a number of times.  If we had such a shoddy fitness regime that kind of thing wouldn't be possible as it would affect the players every single game, not just in extra time of the playoff semi.

I think we had too many players in both playoff games who were either playing with an injury or just coming back from injury and not up to 2 games at that level in a short space of time.

If Carlos got anything wrong it was this not tactics.

Probably half the team were in one of these categories
