QPR cat C

Recommended Posts

Crowds will depend on 3 things for me.

1. How well we do, if we are up near the top crowds will increase.

2. Number of season tickets - more than last year than crowds have a good chance of increasing.

3. Category of games - the lower the Category for less glamorous games, will equate to an higher overall average - game v Pigs guaranteed to sell out regardless of category.

I was more thinking QPR at home rather than match #1.

Difficult to do a direct comparison I think. Would imagine its more expensive than against QPR last year, but first home game of the season so always likely to be the case

Suppose there are too many variables to compare. Someone like Wolves for example could be near the top of the league and therefore be a higher catagory. Also United, who will be near the bottom of the league will be in a high catagory and weren't in the league last season.

£48 was the most expensive for last seasons first match against Villa, it was a televised match too.

or even £42 for away fans ( i think, not even sure there was a £48 ticket )

Our tickets are extortionate whatever the price was

South Stand were £49 if memory serves

Credit to the chairman for all he has done but ticket prices he is having a laugh it's a disgrace and needs sorting. Crowds will be lower than last season for sure

No they won't. We have more season ticket holders now.

Would be interesting to see the comparison between the same match last season. Did anyone keep notes?

QPR was a Cat D last season and a Cat E the season before (though that was on a Tuesday night).

The way I see this ticket farce is;

We've got lots of willing loyal customers

We've got a chairman trying to fill the coffers

We've got SAG telling us what we can and can't sell.

Simple maths tells me that if you get 20k fans paying £50 a ticket it would bring about the same ticket revenue as 30k paying £33.50 a ticket.

An extra 10k supporters on the match day would generate more matchday spending, a far better atmosphere to get behind the team (which may increase the teams chances of promotion leading to obvious financial rewards) and generally happier customers that don't feel like they've had their pants pulled down. How much of this would be lost for extra policing and staffing costs I don't know.

So Mr Chansiri, how much income do you need from ticket sales?

divided by

So SAG, how many are we allowed into the ground for this game?

= AVERAGE TICKET PRICE FOR EACH GAME
