Time: 3pm Saturday July 22nd Competition: Pre-season friendly Opposition: Vitoria finished 12th in the Portuguese Primeira last season, and our man Carlos managed them twice back when he was still figuring it all out. Will we have two teams, or will we get a clue towards The Team? Will our forward six become clearer? Reach, Bannon, Jones, Boyd, Winnall, Rhodes sounds good to me. So does Forestieri, Hutch, Abdi, Wallace, Hooper, Fletcher of course. And then there's the great Kieran Lee. And Joao (and Nuhiu!) I'm looking forward to this game and every game. Come on you Owls! Portugal Owl Posted July 22, 2017 Share Posted July 22, 2017 Drove down from Central Portugal last night for the game. It kicks of at 8.00 pm local time, the same time as in the UK. Venue is the Municipal Stadium of Albufeira (Éstada Municipal de Albufeira). Nice little ground where you can buy beer and wine throughout the game as well as sandwiches and snacks. Well signposted and easy to find with plenty of parking around. Plenty of taxis available to get there, but not so many around after the game so a bit of a hike in to town but not too bad. For those who like it the main area of bars and clubs known as "The Strip" is open until very late. So no need to leave the game early. Weather today is wall to wall sunshine with a high of 29C so will be good to get some beach time in. Kick off time down to 25C and down to 22C at the finish. Setubal to Albufeira is a 2 hour drive so may be a few of their fans there. But undoubtedly the majority of spectators will be Owls Fans. Don't know if it will be streamed live or not. But Wednesday and the Star appear to be showing a lot more footage from these games than in previous years so at least you should get the highlights. I wonder if tonight he will mix those up a bit to see what works. Would love Boyd and Bannan to score tonight to give them a bit of a confidence boost.
