Programmes c.1991-present

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know of collectors or resellers of old programmes who might be interested in taking copies from around 1991 to present? My dad has bought virtually every home programme between that time but is de-cluttering and looking to shift them all save for a handful of significant games.

Not interested in getting rid of handfuls at a time - would rather shift them en masse.

Cheers,

Tytoninae

Used to be a programme shop on Leppings Lane, walk past in every match but not sure if it's still open thinking about it.

Not much help really.... Sorry I did try.

Doubt whether you'll find any takers. Ended up giving all my programmes for the same period for Free to a young lad. At least theyv'e now got a good home and the upstairs floorboards are recovering from the release of the abnormal weight.

Yep, have exchanged emails with the fella from the programme shop. Looks like they're destined for the paper bin. Funny looking at some from the 00's and not having a clue who the random loan players are on the cover... here's to better times!

Your de-cluttering is why no-one wants them.   Back in the fifties when I started saving progs, you could have a collection of, say 500, and they'd fit in a drawer. Todays efforts just take too much room up.  Prog dealers generally only want pre 1960.

I know a few collectors that have stopped buying current programmes now even though they have nearly every post war issue home and away as well as pre-war.

Programmes these days just aren't worth much apart from the odd one every now and again.

After 1966 when there was a increase interest in football programme collecting became really popular.

Consequently post 66 programmes are really not worth a lot apart from the odd one.

I had loads that went to charity and others that got binned.

Kept one from every season, every home / away against the blades and every semi final and final since 1946.

Still makes for quite a collection but for instance I only bought three last year so it's not growing out of control.

I would be interested in taking the 92 to 96 home programmes off you,if you have them all, price dependent obviously.

He'll be cherry-picking each season for, as others have suggested, last game, derbies, finals and semi-finals, play offs etc.

in which case, there'll be no one complete season. Sorry.
