18owlsforeva67
It's been rumoured in last summers transfers window and also this close season window that stoke are looking to move him on and possibly to a championship club. What are are peoples opinions on the player now and would you welcome him back or do you think it's best left in the past of a time of a small shining light of a time when we were struggling? AwokenGiant
Be a fantastic signing for any Championship club, still got a few years left in him. We wouldn't need to sell the club to him, that's for sure.
Weshallovercome
Glenn would be an upgrade on Bannan and Jones, but whilst we have them two he's not what we need. I'd gladly swap him for both if I'm honest.
MallorcaOwl
He would be a great signing for us, don't think that he would cost a lot, but his wages would be high
18owlsforeva67
Yeah ditto all opinions above really. I think he'd be a useful addition and could still perform week in week out albeit at a level more suited to him these days. Ex-prem player and ex-owl who I think would welcome a move, not just cus of nostalgia but because he be well suited to a midfield lacking someone of his experience (could say Jones but imo a completely different kind of player) and qualities. bladeshater
Whelan or Irvine would be quality for us at present
FlyingOwl
Whelan would be a huge player for us. If he's available for a reasonable price we need to be going for him.
18owlsforeva67
Also a Dorrans kind of player, but a better, more suited, cheaper option. Just thinking if it's true about him being moved on, why we are not in for him? Maybe the chairman and management don't know about his past with us, so unsure about his potential to be a future signing.

Nothing to with him playing for us before he is premiership quality his performances over the last few years have proved this
Michael Dean Watson
not true tho age is really not an issue as we need a team next season to take us to the premiership so whelan could do the job in my eyes for that 1 season ... westwood, lees and hooper are the only one's premiership to me maybe hutchinson
