It's been rumoured in last summers transfers window and also this close season window that stoke are looking to move him on and possibly to a championship club.

What are are peoples opinions on the player now and would you welcome him back or do you think it's best left in the past of a time of a small shining light of a time when we were struggling?

Yeah ditto all opinions above really. I think he'd be a useful addition and could still perform week in week out albeit at a level more suited to him these days.

Ex-prem player and ex-owl who I think would welcome a move, not just cus of nostalgia but because he be well suited to a midfield lacking someone of his experience  (could say Jones but imo a completely different kind of player) and qualities.

Also a Dorrans kind of player, but a better, more suited, cheaper option.

Just thinking if it's true about him being moved on, why we are not in for him?

Maybe the chairman and management don't know about his past with us, so unsure about his potential to be a future signing.

This, no one would even be casting a glance in his direction if he hadn't played for us before. Nostalgia at its finest.

Quite comical that if you've played for us before, sense and reason goes out of the window.

lol
