Beholder
Anyone else thinking the same? Watching the final and thinking about our options. Hutchinson would be perfect for that middle birth at the back.

Then I'd buy a new right wing back, Front three, plenty to pick from.

Perhaps, but I think the benefit we have is that we have a squad that know how we want to play and when everyone is fit it works very well. A big change may take time to bed in and we need to hit the ground running. If we are to make a change, it would just be to trust our wingers more. i used to be sc_owl
4-4-2 with two fast wingers who can cross and we'll get promoted. Edited May 27, 2017 by i used to be sc_owl
malek
We tried to play version of it when CC first came here, while we were on the ball at least. Two CB's played bit wider, and DM (Hutch) dropped between them to help keep ball better in front of our goal. Both full backs pushed forward, almost in line with two central midfielders, leaving two "wingers" and striker upfront changing positions, and playing with much freedom. Development squad played at times like that this season, and it really opened some interesting options for them.
fred mciver
3 - 5 - 2 for me with Reach and Lee wing backs. But we'd need real quality at centre backs to partner Lees, 2 new ones according to Gordon Watson and that was for 4-4-2.
robswfc
Relies on quality and attacking runs from your wing backs though.. 3232 might work better for us ..............................Westwood .............Lees.............Hutch..............New ....................Lee.....................New Wallace....................Abdi....................Forestieri ...................Hooper.............Rhodes Edited May 28, 2017 by robswfc
mike312
Whoever we get/don't the mandate from CC has to be get the ball crossed asap. We have 4 top quality headers of the ball but we seem reluctant to cross sometimes.
