We should definitely try to sign Jackson Irvine this summer regardless of who is in charge.  He is athletic, strong in the air and can play as either a defensive or attacking midfielder.  Could play alongside Hutch or instead of him when Hutch is inevitably injured.

Scored ten goals this season too for an almost relegated Burton side.  Better than 4 of our so called top class strikers. All one touch finishes too.

Get him signed!!!

We have two top strikers and DC won't sign another. We need pacey wingers who can get the service in to our strikers...a midfield playmaker like Mooy, two full backs and one Central defender...for automatics

Erm....Irvine is a midfield player

I think this lad would be an absolutely terrific signing.

Not a massively well known name though, so therefore not a "statement of intent" signing which might rule us out!

Price tags and famous name shouldn't mean a thing though. It should be what the individual offers. And this kid would give us some real power and solidity in midfield.

Which if we're going to play with two in their is vital.

A 1 in 4 goal ratio is as good as half the strikers we've have in the last five years too

decent player but whether he's a carlos type is debatable ........

Maybe CC should let everyone at the club know what his type of player is so we don't end up with millions wasted on players sat on the bench.

We need to thin the squad of bench players, and buy quality that will play every week if fit. 2 out 1 in.  I wonder just how much MrC's paid out in wages to players who have hardly featured, Abdi and McGugan to name but two, it truly is frightening.

Couldn't agree more! There are 6-10 players we could lose without even noticing they were gone.

One thing is for sure we will not be signing anymore strikers we have a plethora of options there. This season should be about midfield and deffence strengthening now hopefuly DC and CC see same. Promotion here we come be nice to be champs stick two fingers up to them blunts

Don't forget Buckley, Emanuelson and the four on loan to clubs who will certainly not be paying their full wages(  Lachman, Dielna, Sougou and Melo). Then there is Matias who managed to get himself sent off before half time in his single starting appearance in 2017!
