Summer 2017 non-mega transfer thread

Recommended Posts

So far today the following have been mentioned...

Dunk - not a chance

Stephens - not a chance

Tomlin - no thanks

Maguire - highly unlikely

I've seen a list of players Villa have supposedly released & one in particular stood out for me. Micah Richards.

Admittedly has lost his way but has plenty of experience, strength & speed. Versatile in that he can cover right back, centre back & centre mid. And he's still only 28.

He may not be one for the starting 11 but as cover for Hutch may not be a bad option. Also covers a number of options from the bench.

Others at Villa that will apparently be allowed to leave are:

Jordan Veretout

Jordan Amavi

Tommy Elphick

Aaron Tshibola

Also available from so called local rivals are:

Josh Scowen

Marley Watkins

Charlie Taylor - read Pulis won't sign him unless Leeds agree the fee as he won't risk a tribunal

Taylor yes please

Even with the refusing to play incident? Undoubtedly talented but with what happened with Fernando would we want to sign someone who has done similar?

Jota please then at cb I think it will be Hanley

Those two would be excellent buys. I'd replace Palmer with Paterson from Hearts as well if his recovery is on schedule, and also sign Scowen on a free. Them four plus a pacey winger would satisfy me this summer.

We need backline steel.  Asap. Can't rely on Pudil as much as we have been.  And Loovens is getting older.

Yep, Backline Steel needed ASAP.

I've looked on Wikipaedia but he doesn't get much of a  mention. Any good?

We dont need to go mad as transfer fees are going to be ridiculous again. There are now many clubs with mega rich owners and now Forest have entered the mix.

We need to ship out fringe players (not easy ) and look around for quality free transfers, spend money on quality Any players we sign have to be an upgrade on what

we have. I think the championship transfer business is going to be mental again. We certainly will have tons of competition for players.

Can everyone honest see us keeping

Fletch

Hooper

Winnall

Rhodes

I can see 1 or 2 being unhappy especially if pardew is brought in because he plays 1 upfront.

So defence and mid need sorting out properly and thats about it really just use the lon system to its fullest and bring in 1 or 2 quality players on permanent deals

Think I'd prefer Elphick to Hanley.

He captained Bournmouth when they won League 1 & the Championship. He has some Premiership experience too.

He only cost Villa £3m and if they are wanting to move him on then you'd expect he'd go for similar or less. Only problem could be our strained relationship with their crazy doctor Xia.

Left back I would love to see us try for Charlie Taylor. He's never going to sign for Leeds & Pulis has said he doesn't want to risk a tribunal as they could force a fee of £6m. Maybe a tribunal wouldn't set a fee so high for a championship club compared to a Premiership club.

Right wing... I recall there was a video on social media from Wallace at the akoshua Klitchko fight saying McManaman is staying? Wouldn't make much sense with how little we've used him so maybe it was Wallace just being Wallace.
