Step up Big Dave

Recommended Posts

Perfect for 2nd leg.  Wagner has mentioned 'they like to play it long and go for set pieces when Nuhui is on' - whereas we know his strengths are balls to feet and players around him.  His scoring is pants but his hold up play and passing is excellent.

We'll have less possession, they like to keep it and Mooy is a decent distributor.  FF on left, BB, KL and RW midfield, Winnall and Nuhui upfront.

When in possession Big Dave attracts 2 of their defenders and if we get FF and Winnall close enough we have mobility to cause problems.  When they're in possession Nuhui disrupts Mooy.

The ball kept coming back at us the other night (Hudds also had more possession at Hillsbro when we beat em) and really feel a) Nuhui will be a surprise and b) allow us to play a quasi 4-3-3 where we can keep more of ball.  See Man City away in the cup a couple of seasons ago.

On the bench. Use in last 15 minutes only if we have a 2 goal lead.

In those circumstances he is useful in that he will stop opponents piling everyone forward.

His size and ability to hold up play occupies two defenders.

No way should he in the starting eleven in front of Rhodes,Winnall, Hooper, Forestieri or even young George.

Ive just said basically the same thing in another thread. We should join these threads together to create maximum impact.
