SBOwl
That's that then. Looking forward to next season, I reckon we can get automatic with 2 or 3 quality additions...

Have to admit though, I've seen him have plenty more stinkers than good games.

alanharper
Another "look at me" ref, averages about 4 yellow cards a game. Reffed us against Brighton last year as above - the last time he was at Hillsborough before that he sent off 3 players.

Sultan_Pepper
He's one of the country's top refs. Glad to see they are appointing experienced refs for important games outside the prem
TrickyTrev
Did a very good job of reffing the home leg of the play-offs last season but then I remember a few years back when he sent 3 players off in our match against the dingles. Mixed feelings on his appointment.
oh_weds_we_love_you
Took a big risk listening to his assistant in the first leg vs Brighton last year. Ruling out Forestieri's goal - there was absolutely zero chance his assistant could see that Hooper touched the ball on to Forestieri, it simply wasn't possible to see from the assistant's position. As a result, Mariner guessed. I'd rather officials who make decisions based on what they actually see.

Simmo200
Top ref - everytime we get a referee someone starts a thread enlightening us on how bad they are. One of the best in the country as stated above, very good appointment. Just enjoy the game now.
