Wednesdayite Car Park

Recommended Posts

Always seems pretty full so must offer something that fans want.

Pretty sure moneys raised go to the community and various good causes.

If that's ripping fans off, I'm Alan Biggs.

The car surfing is also very entertaining.

More fool those that pay it !

Much better than a £60 parking ticket, and if your incapacitated, much more convenient.

In addition, £7 to cancer charity is much more worthwhile than sixty quid to the council

Shops and restaurants apparently.

Can't see there being much money to be made there on non-matchdays.

was going to be a retail park but with the re-development of the one at Wadsley Bridge not sure there is any need for it tbh

Does all the £7 go to charidee??

There are places to park other than getting fined and as for the "incapacitated" £7 for them is a disgrace.

Then why are the Traffic Wardens out in droves almost every week?

I'm temporarily indisposed, and will happily pay £7.

It is brilliant for people who cannot walk too far (age or physical impediment)

It is a god-send on wet and cold match-days as it takes ages for me and my mother-in-law (very slow walker) to walk back to the car a mile or so along Penistone road.

I don't mide sitting in a virtual car-park for an hour after the final whistle on those days...

Bargain price to be fair.

Secure, yards from the stadium, no parking tickets, celebrity Wednesdayite directors ready to meet and greet, catering vans nearby, and monies go back into the community.

I'd personally pay more to be honest.

£7 to park 20 yards from the ground is fantastic value.

Try parking in John Lewis, or next to the Crucible. And let me know how the mortgage application that follows goes on.

So ripping off the disabled fans  is ok ?

Honestly Ive no issue paying 7 quid to park there, its only a quid more than parking at most of the newer ground, like Boro, Bolton, Stoke etc, goes to local charities, is great if me mam comes with us who is well, old, and living outside manchester where you can never judge the traffic for how long its gonna take you is handy as hell,
