modboy
Not the player I thought we were signing, frustrating. Looked unfit today. We know he can do it though... hopefully
lee81
Winnall should be infront of him in the pecking order. Won't happen though.
meadowview owl
Will probably revert back to fletcher and hooper, but Rhodes v Huddersfield could be an advantage, likewise FF. we are a bogey side to them apparently and it could give us an extra edge. carlos has big decisions to make upfront
flo
He's a good player.

NOT Tom Fisher
Didn't see him do anything wrong. Does what he's asked to do which is to stand up front and keep the CBs busy. And as that thread pointed out the other day it still stands that we've only scored since signing him when he's on the pitch
The Dukeries Owl
Fluffed two decent opportunities when his touch let him down.
i used to be sc_owl
Next season will be time to chance. Hardly any football before we signed him and then Fletcher found the form of his life. Expecting one or two of our forwards to move on in summer and Rhodes to be our star man.
NIOwl
I was glad we signed him but long before we did I was always of the opinion that we had a better player in Hooper.
Mr Farrell
We aren't exactly a creative force, and haven't been all season. He is quality, and anyone writing him off is very premature.
Owl999
The only time Rhodes was seeing the ball was when he was going out side left, he's then doing a wingers job putting the cross in for Winnall, when he isn't doing that he plays in the middle on the shoulder of the last man, waiting for an early ball into the dangerous area he's showing for, at this point Wednesday's attacking play breaks down and the ball is played backwards into our own half, explain to me again how he is supposed to score goals with this approach ? And that's not taking into account he had to play a loan striker role due to us going down to ten men.
pazowl55
Home leg be key. Huddersfield played a full team today and will have to again next Sunday and Wednesday. To be able to play a fresh Rhodes and say Forestieri in a game where we will probably attack is a massive advantage to have and one we didn't have last season
Animis
it will be interesting what the option is to buy him in terms of value - he's not £10m at the mo.
Markowski77
He will be a major asset in the play offs!!!
Kopparberg
It's all about the squad at the moment. Different players with different attributes.
pazowl55
I think I can sum this all up by saying. Last season when we needed a goal we brought on Helan, this season we can bring on Rhodes.

The fee has been agreed, are you saying we shouldn't pay that much because he's only worth around 5 million, if he'd scored 20 goals since his arrival would you advocate paying more than the agreed fee because you think he is worth more ? modboy
No ones writing him off, just looks a bit off the pace imo. Saying that so did Martin

It's a good point, and that's the problem/risk with a deferred purchase. He was loaned and the value set on the form from he showed up to 2015/16 not the first six months of this season, and he's not worth £10m at the moment.
