Gnarwolf
Someone bumped a thread on here other day about Carlos needing to be sacked back when this poor run was going on, reading through it was one of the most embarrassing, cringeworthy things ever, really goes to show just how fickle we really are
Eightace
Thing is you can only call things as you see them at the time. I thought Carlos needed the full season but at the time i didn't think he was getting the best from the players and made some dodgy decisions. But it was just a sticky patch and he seems to have addressed most issues. There's no way to know that at the time. I think the season could have gone either way just as easily so there no shame or glory in being wrong or right.

I think the season could have gone either way just as easily so there no shame or glory in being wrong or right. That's exactly it though: it was just a sticky patch but people were stating as fact that we wouldn't make the playoffs, and they were ridiculing anyone who thought it might just be a sticky patch. At least a couple of posters - such as the OP - have been gracious about it.
ANDY
It's these knee jerk reactions that cost many a manager their jobs.

We had players missing and Carlos made that point...But a good few fans weren't listening...Other teams would have been in the same boat if they had important players missing.... Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair Well, the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere We got one last chance to make it real To trade in these wings on some wheels Climb in back, heaven's waiting on down the tracks ... NIOwl
I was in the out brigade. We're only where we are now because we are currently on our best run of form in 10 years. Without putting this amazing run together we'd not be in the top 6 right now and we'd all be very disappointed. Nobody would have predicted our current run of form. For this reason me being in the out brigade was still the most logical position for its time. :p
