As it's awards week I mused over my choices relating to SWFC. Bound to be contentious.

Best player. Sam Hutchinson.

Most improved player. Jack Hunt.

Best home performance. Norwich.

Best away performance. Newcastle.

Best away team. Wolves.

Best away player. Jonjo Shelvey.

Best addition to the squad. Steven Fletcher.

Of all my decisions the last category was for me the most difficult.

Best player. Fernando - match winner on his day

Most improved player. Hunt/Sasso/Wallace - Hunt's been fantastic recently, Sasso stepped up when required and Wallace has been most underrated player of the season for me

Best home performance. Norwich - everything went right

Best away performance. Newcastle - dominated and fully deserved to win

Best away team. Brighton - best team in the league by a distance

Best away player. Jonjo Shelvey - stands out ahead of a host of excellent champ midfielders

Best addition to the squad. David Jones - underrated, does his job really well

Votes coming in for Nando as our best player.

Best player. Ross Wallace - In a season where we haven't had our mojo the scampy Scotsmans goals, assists and key passes have edged us out of a mire in several games. Sometimes quiet but so often has provided that little spark in our dark hours.

Most improved player. Jack Hunt - Showing himself to be the player we new him to be when we signed him. Had a wobble but now powering into the final leg on form.

Best home performance. Norwich -

Best away performance. Newcastle - To do the bookies favourites in such convincing style showed what we know this group are capable of.

Best away team. Brighton - best team unit in the league.

Best away player. Jonjo Shelvey - Shouldn't really be playing in this division. If he can sort his attitude/head he should be playing at one of the top clubs.

Best addition to the squad. Tough question. But I'll go for Jones. Come in and provided a steady hand on the midfield tiller while certain starters Lee and Hutch have been out. No easy task.

Best player. Difficult one, because many of the contenders have missed significant parts of the season. Think Hutch just about makes it ahead of Ross Wallace, Tom Lees and Kieran Lee.

Most improved player. Reach has had his critics and I still want him to man up a bit more in the tackle, but I think he is improving rapidly, so he gets my vote.

Best home performance. Newcastle. The Norwich performance was the most enjoyable, but Newcastle were a proper team and we did them.

Best away performance. Newcastle. 'Fraid I'm an armchair away fan, but that is our best performance on the box.

Best away team. Brighton - thoroughly deserved to go up as champions

Best away player. Several goalies come to mind, Al Habsi in particular.

Best addition to the squad. For scoring some crucial goals, Fletcher.

Agree with Knockaert. Pudil has proved in the last few games just what a good player he is and Knockaert absolutely torn him a new one.

I think Helan should get an honourable mention for retiring for the good of the club

Best player. Cant believe im saying this after last season, but Ross Wallace followed by Westwood

Most improved player. Jack Hunt by a country mile. Nobody else comes close for this

Best home performance. Newcastle - complete performance barring Westwoods blunder

Best away performance. Newcastle. Serious fighting spirit

Best away team. Brentford

Best away player. Abraham and Jota ripped us to shreds. Knockheart is the best player in the league though.

Best addition to the squad. Steven Fletcher has improved massively of late as has David Jones either has a good shout but as this is a season question going to

go for the most infuriating player in the team, Adam Reach
