DobbinTheDonkey
After what seems like an eternity on the sideline although it was deserved, it was nice to see last season's Pudil in the team, so went with him. Hooper was excellent first half. The Fletcher I thought we had bought and only seen in the first 20 mins against Villa showed up. Tom Lees was great again. Hunt with a constant run of games is getting better. Jones played well Reach never stopped working hard. Overall there was an energy in the team that we have seen little of and for me that's the big plus for today.

Swiss Toni
Nobody outstanding, just a collective good display. Nobody let the side down. if I had to go for somebody then it will be Lees for getting the first goal and calming a few nerves.

adifferentgame
Westwood 8 - Might have done better with the save that led to the rebound goal Hunt 7 - Decent going forward and put his body on the line multiple times in defence. Lees 9 - Didn't put a foot wrong all night, and was even better with his head! Loovens 8 - Was bossing it until his injury (get well quickly). Pudil 7 - Worked his arse off but was clearly tiring towards the end. Odd pick for MOTM Wallace 7 - Works just as hard as he did last season, but typical of this season he sparkled rather than shone. jones 7 - Looked a bit out of sorts but found his way into the game. Some decent link play and tidy passing. Bannan 7 - More hit than miss today, which is reassuring going into (hopefully) the playoffs. Reach 7 - Still flattering to deceive. Convinced he's having something of a crisis of confidence. More of a wingback than a winger tbh. Hooper 9 - If he'd bagged a goal this would be a 10. Outstanding display from the beefy one. Fletcher 8 - Did what he's there to do, linked well with Hooper. Cracking header for the goal. Sasso 6 - Didn't really stand out, but that's usually a good sign in a defender. Semedo 8 - HEART OF A LION, SOUL OF AN OWL! Rhodes 6 - Movement was terrific, as always, but we were on the back foot for most of his time on the pitch. Can't really fault him for not doing more. sternlad
Sorry, but Bannan is getting a lot of unwarranted flack on here. He did well today I thought, always looking to create an angle so he could be passed to, just what you need as a player when in a tight spot, someone to help out. He doesn't run around like a headless chicken, if you watch him, he looks for space to be in to receive a pass. Think folk should lay off Bazza, he's got a footballing brain which is necessary to work stuff out on the pitch. Saw an article the other day where Mourinho was having a go at Luke Shaw for not being able to work things out for himself, thank Christ we have at least one player on the pitch who can!
