Recall a game V Liverpool when an equaliser was denied by ref - must have been the 70's. Came on from the North.

I was on the Kop so had to limit discontent to shouting.

Thats the game I always think of. Loads ended up on the pitch that day.

Yes I think it was Gerry Young who scored. Half clearance from a corner came out to him and he buried it. Then the ref gave a foul on their goalkeeper Tommy Lawrence. Video replays showed there was barely any contact with the 'keeper.

Biggest throwing of cushions I ever saw was when David "Bronco" Layne was sent off against Villa for "allegedly" removing some of one of the Villa players teeth with his elbow. Cant remember exact year but would guess it was in 60's as I remember being with my Dad on the kop.

I remember that incident too. The cushions then were canvas covered & quite a bit heavier than the ones pictured earlier in the thread.

I always remember this game. Also on the Kop so youthful verbals.
