The Dukeries Owl
I believe it was on trend to express one's disappointment at the time to propel said items onto the field of play, probably late 60's at a guess?
roaminowl
It must have been quicker and easier to pick them all up from the pitch. rather than walking up and down the rows of seats. Helpful as always us Wednesdayites.

philby
Recall a game V Liverpool when an equaliser was denied by ref - must have been the 70's. Came on from the North. I was on the Kop so had to limit discontent to shouting.
hirstysboots
Happened almost every game in the early 70s, wish some of today's moaners would just realise how good things are for the club right now!

Then the ref gave a foul on their goalkeeper Tommy Lawrence. Video replays showed there was barely any contact with the 'keeper. Cant remember exact year but would guess it was in 60's as I remember being with my Dad on the kop. I remember that incident too. The cushions then were canvas covered & quite a bit heavier than the ones pictured earlier in the thread.

sonofbert2
My cushion chucking memory is Chesterfield at home. I also nicked a cushion from Cardiff when we got promoted there and nailed it to my bedroom wall.
