Where the problem lies...

Rhodes/Hopper

FF/Winnall

SOLID spine. Up there with the best in the league.

We urgently need to sort LB/LM & RB/RM (and CB cover)

Playing McManaman would be a start.

Today really highlighted how poor we are out wide.

yes - very solid, but the CH cover is Sasso and Semedo. CC wants three CHs so plays our best midfielder deep which then unbalanced the spine.

The top of the spine, whose combined value is probably £25m, waits for the scapes and long balls from our keeper.

Got to find a system that gets our creative players on the ball high up the pitch.  Watch the YouTube clip giant  awakens from last season, particularly Hooper goal away at Birmingham when all our best players were affecting the game where it matters

We are playing attacking full backs in a system where they should be defensive. They end up ahead of the wingers who then end up as full backs. The lack of defensive full backs puts pressure on the centre backs who end up doing their job and their own.

It doesnt matter if we play Abdi or Bannan or Reach or McGugan or whoever..........its the system thats the problem

We need to keep the full backs as full backs

The problem lies with the managers tactics

Last season we played to win

This season we play not to lose

Carlos has lost his bottle

If he doesn't find it again soon, he will lose his job too

I think our biggest problem is midfielder not giving enough support to front two. A number of times a ball is played in from wide positions and there's only one player in box.

Midfielder should be busting a gut to get in that box as soon as they see Wallace, Reach or McManaman out wide with ball.

Some fans are saying crosses are poor but if there's only Rhodes and 3 defenders along side him he's unlikely to get on end of a cross.

But aren't we better off points wise than this stage last season?

This contradicts what you're saying.

So are you saying that as long as we get the same points total as last season, we will be okay?

Last season has no bearing on this season, last season isn't a berometre on how we will do this season

The signs are there if only you will look

We have spent 25 million on players this season, do you think this season's team looks 25 million better than last season?

We're scrapping wins

We're losing home games to Brentford and Ipswich

We have the most prolific striker the Championship has seen over the last 4 or 5 seasons, yet we are feeding him scraps

We are losing 1-0, and we need a goal, so we substitute the Championships most consistant scorer

To rub salt into the wound, we have a goalscorer on the bench called Winnall, we chose to bring on Fletcher who couldn't score in Roxy's

And don't get me started on the centre half debacle

Our goal is to finish in the play offs. Once we're in it doesn't matter how lucky or unlucky we've been during games.

Brighton were far better than us for majority of last season but like we witnessed back then owt can happen in play offs.

True

But with Norwich and Fulham on our shirt tales, there's no garuantee we will make the play offs

It's frustrating because we definitely have good players

In fact, I'd go as far as saying our squad is the equal of any team in the division, other than Newcastle

To me, that says we are under performing

Our inability to spot that we needed another quality centre half is currently biting us in the bottom

Today's goal could have been stopped with better defending, same as the two goals Brentford

But our stand in centre half has lovely hair, so he will do

Our squad does match up with the best.... just not out wide & far from it.

palmer/hunt/fox/pudil/reach don't compare.
