Time to pull together

Recommended Posts

It's a given we should pull together and not lose faith with Carlos. What is clear from just seeing Brighton trounce Reading is how much nowadays our performances lack tempo and offensive intent. We seem to have got into a game plan of trying to neutralise opponents, relying on counter-attacks and then late attacking surges. In terms of results, the plan has not worked for the last 2 games. Surely it is now time to change tack, Carlos, and go offensive for 90 mins without, of course, throwing all caution to the wind ? If he doesn't, I feel there will be a drastic loss of support for his regime. The  Norwich game is going to be interesting in this regard.

So? Decide end of season what to do. If we don't go up - he'll be gone more than likely. Carlos knows that.

For now - back him to the end.

I probably will do.

But like I said before ...this is a message board and this is where things can be discussed but if you think that walk up fans will pay 52 quid v Norwich next week then you might have to have a bigger rallying call mate.

Carlos has had the tools and he's failed miserably so far, some of his subs, tactics and teams have been baffling and smacks of desperation.

If you want more positivity then maybe you could suggest Carlos does the same ...it has to start at home I'm afraid.

  • We really are in danger of talking down the team & manager. Carlos is living away from home & family. He thrives on enthusiasm & positivity. Listening to him over the last few interviews he appears to be visibly losing that loving feeling. There are clearly issues which need attention & we haven't hit any kind of decent form but we are still in with a great chance of the playoffs & stand a good chance of winning them. Negativity breeds negativity & there is no point at this stage of the season in doing anything less than giving team & manager 100% support.

Is it £52 for pay on the gate next week ?

people give 100% togetherness with the manager/team  when shelling out to go and watch games none will go with the mindset that carlos needs the boot or this that and the other player is crap i would call that pulling together , But what then unfolds on the pitch makes it wear a little thin if it's the same as same as we are seeing now , things will only get better if results are there or we at least try. at the moment it's very disheartening to supporters to have any thoughts of we are all in it together when they reach home after another dismal showing by the team , which manifests on owlstalk hense the moaning and they have a valid point ,people are not sheep we all want the best but are we getting it ,sucess breeds positivity ,the oposaite applies when success isn't there

Are we REALLY the same set of fans that backed 'em to Wembley last year?

Are we REALLY the same set of fans that emotionally sang our hearts out when the game was over at Wembley?

Are we really the same set of fans that in doing so wouldn't let Hull be heard as they were being presented after their victory?

FFS we all hate defeats and mistakes.

FFS pick your t1ts up and get behind them again!

We win together   We lose together,

It's been a poor last two matches, the only positive to take away from it was that second half on Tuesday being probably the best we've played all season at home.

Weve got 12 games left, let's be realistic, Carlos isn't going nowhere. 2 games ago, the majority of the fan base were behind him, albeit grumbles of not the best football we were winning games and being effective. 2 games later, the tides have turned and a large section want him out - 2 games, 180 minutes of football, that is it. Can we let things simmer down and just take into account we now need to get behind this team in what is the most important last quarter of the season.

DC isn't going to sack him whilst we're in the playoffs, i know it's difficult with the last two games, but we're still in the mix. It can all change again in 3 games, and it will. It'll change more than once over the next 12 games, you're likely to see someone above us drop points too. We seem to be the only ones flapping after losing points.

Carlos has even begun mentioning negativity around the team in the media - a guy who never mentions anything like this at all to the press and won't ever comment on it.

Whether youre Carlos in or Carlos out, this is it for the rest of the season. We either back them to the end and get over the line, show them the support we had last year in the playoffs or we self implode and fall to bits.

Have the faith.

Great post mate!

We've nothing to lose and everything to gain by sticking together. We can celebrate or conduct a postmortem once the season's over. As fans the best thing we can do at this moment in time is get behind the lads and Carlos and hope we can make the difference. UTO.

Spot on. It'll all end in tears if we don't back them fully until the final game.
