Spondon Owl
I think this will be controversial but I thought he played well. He was clearly nervous and dawdled a little but generally he was positionally sound and overall reasonably solid especially given the performances of the full backs. His give and go in the first half where he should have shot was what our central midfield should have been doing. Instead they sat deep and didn't have enough legs to contribute to all phases of play. Anyway, fair play to the lad.

Last_Great_Hope
He really didn't. He's our 3rd choice CB. Let that sink in.
whatevertrevor
He did play well. Consider that he is rusty as hell and understandably nervous due to having so few opportunities to play. I think he's a decent player.

sMacLean
He worried me far less than Pudil and Hunt. For a rare starter thought he did fine.

DuttyTeabags
Not bad at bringing ball out of defence, his ball led to goal. Should have shot first half.
edmontonowl
He was steady No mistakes Got a foot in when needed. A bit slow to get in position at times when he lost the ball
sjowl
He was nervous. He made me very nervous! But he's back up. As were other players tonight which is what makes it a very good result.
Simaniac Owl
Solid performance. Mis hit a pass that led to a Wigan attack, but so what. Worth signing up for a couple more years. Will only get better.

Sultan_Pepper
Couple of nervous clearances but his positioning was excellent. Blocked 3 or 4 good balls into the box by being in right place. Got forward fairly well a couple of times too.

Should have passed to Jordan Rhodes who had pulled off perfectly into space. Anyone else in the side would have been more likely to spot that. fife_owl
I thought he was very tidy. Even looked to play forward balls and try get us moving in the first half.
East Yorks Owl
It would obviously have been a more comfortable game to come in if we'd been in command of the game, but apart from that bit if sustained pressure st the end of the first half we were largely under the pump. Personally thought Sasso looked a bit nervous and rusty, however it wasn't an easy match to return to the team. i suppose a clean sheet is all that matters, but I'd like to see the Loovens, Lees partnership reunited. Bing Cosby
Feck me some are so quick to dig at players for no reason. Thought he was solid tonight, the only mistake he made was in Wigan's box, when Wallace flicked him through on goal If Lees had produced the same performance everyone would be calling him "Mr Reliable", while also marvelling at how much better his distribution was! Anyone slagging Sasso off on a night when no one was better than mediocre is either looking for a scapegoat or doesn't have a clue what to expect from a centre half
