Oliver Cromwell
Now we know that we are heading for a hard Brexit there will be lots of implications for football. EEA(European Economic Area) players will be subject to the same rules as other foreign nationals and will need work permits. Premier League clubs will probably not be able to sign young talent from Europe, which will push up the value of promising young British players. We need to tie our best youngsters like George Hirst down to long contracts, and to concentrate on British born players in the transfer market as their value is likely to rocket once we leave the EU. theowlsman
We need to get Labour back in power, and Blunkett running the Home Office. Can't see recruitment ever being a problem then. Unless he does the recruiting of course Edited January 19, 2017 by theowlsman

WalkleyWeds
I think whichever shower of poo tries to bullplop their way through brexit, British football will come out OK. Even if we were going for a mister whippee soft brexit I'd still say get Hirst tied down for the long term.

theowlsman
Well done Theresa May for accepting the will of the people. The anti-Brexiteers who won't accept the will of the people, and want some kind of half way house, haven't thought about the implications for signing young players obviously. Never used to have tons of threads about ticket prices, shirt and badge designs, worrying over Rhodes and Barnsley players. Things are getting gloomier!
