Yep that would be typical for us.
Orlando_Trustful
Parachute payments are fair enough, but what I find unbelievable is FFP. It's scandalous that we're in the same league with some teams, yet can't spend anywhere near them. It's like bloody Formula 1. I'm really surprised clubs haven't made more of this issue. Weshallovercome
Been saying this for years, but there has to be an unfair trading rule broken somewhere. There should be a mandatory clause in every players contract, that states if their club gets relegated from the prem they only receive a percentage of their wages, to a maximum of £20k.per week. Parachute payments need to be done away with, it creates a financial imbalance that effects the whole football league, with teams across all divisions having to spend more on trying to get promoted. There are a lot of clubs with no money and a few who are minted. The skint ones will always vote for something that stops the rich ones from benefiting. We are one of the rich clubs we just aren't as rich as Newcastle/Villa etc. Too much money in the game these days and it's not evenly distributed. There's something to be said for the American football system where the worst team gets first pick of the best players the following year. It's not a perfect system and wouldn't work here but it does have the advantage that everyone has a realistic chance of getting a taste of success once in a while. . mike312
Any team that gets£150million and can't then run itself correctly really needs to look at itself. The money should filter down more imo. I find it a bit vulgar that a whole club lower down the leagues can survive for a year what some premier players earn in a fortnight.

What can the clubs without pp do about it though Orlando?

FFP is clearly meant to keep troublemakers like Leeds and Nottingham Forest in line. Seriously, the rule is a flipping farce. The big 5 spend as freely as they ever did. And Championship level middlers pay the price for running afoul of this arbitrarily-applied, loophole-laden nonsense.
