Guest wednesday ok

Bored with the international break? Solve this useless question. Why do some clubs have square corner flags and other clubs have triangular ones? Also which is  the only club allowed to have its club crest on them and why? More usel ess qu estions soon unless someone pays me £ 1 to stop

Thought this didn't exist any more because everyone now has rectangular ones? But it was cup winners allowed the rectangular I think but no idea about the club crest.

I think the point is that there is no defined reason. Presumably any club can use either shaped flags, and any club can put their crest on them if they want. A quick googling shows that Man Utd and Chesterfield have put their crest on the flags.
