"MIURA TO PLAY PAST 50

Yokohama FC forward Kazuyoshi Miura will continue his career into his 50s after signing a new deal with the second-tier Japanese club.

Miura netted last year at the age of 49 to make him the oldest goalscorer in the history of their domestic league. He will turn 50 next month."

Could he do a job for us?

Blackburn Rovers are demanding £2.5m from any team that want to sign Ben Marshall.

The 25-year-old winger’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, which has attracted many teams as they feel they could get a starring player for a bargain fee.

One of these teams is Wolves, Paul Lambert worked with the player while at Blackburn and wants to reunite them at Molineux.

yeah good luck with that Blackburn

Just googled LuaLua, didn't realise that not only his brother, Lomana is a footballer, but also his cousins are footballers, Yannik Bolasie and Tresor Kandol.

Is lomana still playing? Thought he had retired years ago. He was half decent at newcastle

GRABBAN IN DEMAND

Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban is wanted by a trio of Championship clubs in January, according to the Mirror.

Brighton, Fulham and Leeds are all interested in the forward, who has failed to impress with the Cherries since moving there for £7million a year ago.

Disappointing that this has slipped to page two so hears some unfounded rumors:

Wickham on loan rather than Rhodes.

Guesioura in on loan as replacement for Lee.

We are set to raid Barnsley for an unknown player.

If if anyone has any real rumors feel free to share:)

I'm shocked penguin doesn't get more right, on my first attempt of making stuff up due to disappointment of megathread being on page 2, one of them looks like coming in....easy this talking BS lark!

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has set his sights on Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney, according to our sister paper The Mirror.

Bruce has money to spend this January and might use a chunk of it on Cairney, who was sold to Blackburn Rovers by Bruce when Villa's boss was manager of Hull City.

Cairney, known for his classy left-foot and creativity, is a key man at Craven Cottage and Fulham wouldn't be wiling to part with him without a fight.

Championship outfits Leeds United and Wolves are joint favourites to sign Bristol Rovers forward Matty Taylor.

Both clubs are joint 4/1 favourites to sign the forward in the ‘Matty Taylor To Sign For Before 3rd February 2017’ market, with Sheffield Wednesday at 8/1 and Reading, Bristol City and Preston all priced at 12/1.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a great first-half of the Sky Bet League One season, scoring 15 goals in 24 league appearances. Taylor also has two goals in two FA Cup appearances alongside another goal to add to the tally in the EFL Trophy.
