Last week- Grant was the best keeper outside of the premiership and as loyal as they come.

A handful of days later and Nicky Weaver, who has just finished a spell at Burnley where he couldn't get in the team ahead of that fat boy Jensen, is going to be his replacement, whilst Grant goes to....yes you've guessed it, Burnley. Will Grant get a game at Burnley instead of Jensen? I think we all know the answer to that.

It wouldn't be a bad deal (I'l be happy if we get Weaver on a 12 month deal)- Weaver and £1 million in, Grant out....but PLEASE don't try and argue that Grant is a weaker keeper than Weaver.

I wouldnt say Grant is weaker than Weaver, they both have thier strengths. I would however say that Weaver is far more experienced and has played at a higher level. He has it all to prove. Let him have a go at it.

Grant is a fine goalkeeper - hence why top Championship clubs plus West Brom tried to buy him. Easy to slag him off now he is gone, but in his time here he did very little wrong and on occasions was outstanding.

Weaver is nowhere near as good as Grant but he will do for us next season.

As i say, i'l be happy with him as our number 1.

But IMO, he's not in the same league as Grant is- and trying to argue otherwise is extremely biased.

Had the question been asked 2 weeks ago, before the winding up order and Grant's sale, how many people on here would have argued that Weaver was a better goalkeeper than Grant, as so many are doing now?

You've just virtually described Grant

No, Grant is a much better shot stopper than Weaver ever was, his reflexes were what compensated for the weaknesses in other areas (which he can learn to improve).
