I should think this would cause editing/mixing problems. Generic cheering as we let a soft onei

Are they allowed to do this? For some reason I've got it in my head that you can't. Though thinking about it the info came from a pig on footy heaven once when he was accusing us of doing it.

yes with the karaoke microphones dangling down from the roof,  they were still there about 10 years after too.

It loud that night anyway, Just helped channel the noise onto the pitch more, worked well for us like it is west ham atm

Purely on the grounds of health and safety,  it would warn people we have a silent trumper issue.

All we would have to do would be to ensure that the crowd was actually within 30 yards of the field, no athletics track nonsense.

We did that for many years. as well as the tinpot tapping the microphone to simulate drumming (we still do that now)

As long as it's not to make it sound like an atmosphere that's not there. It helps unify all sides of the stadium sing together if it's used as ambient noise.

Like me chips, like me pint, like me wander round before game, like to think of past magical games......most of all like to remember me dad taking me and sitting with me.....Hillsborough so full of memory and tradition for me.

Dads gone now, don't take Hillsborough too.

What West Ham is has done is very different to anyone else.

 

They have ended up with a stadium way bigger than they can fill with 'supporters' and have filled it by getting neutrals or even fans of other London teams to buy season tickets. It's the equivalent of bussing people in to fill a stadium, they have no affinity to the club.

 

Its a cheap way to watch PL football. Season tickets were under £300, £99 for an under 16. Compare that to everything else round here and to be honest if I supported someone like Arsenal who I couldn't get/afford tickets for, I would have almost certainly bought one for me and the kids. Wouldn't have cheered much though and that's the problem.

 

Its a completely pointless comparison with us and a unique situation of being 'given' a stadium way too big for you.
