Can assure you he hasn't played left wing for Lazio. 

 

He played 3 Times last season, central midfield each time.

He deserved a chance at Lazio but he's behind the likes of Lucas Biglia, Marco Parolo & Sergej Milinkovic Savic so he was never really likely to get more time on the field. 

 

He's been in good form this pre season though, against questionable opposition, including Brighton.

 

Personally I'd take the gamble IF we hadn't already signed Abdi ... very similar players position wise and we can't accommodate one never mind both.

He'd be a bloody brilliant player at this level (if he could be bothered to play). BUT he'd be a huge risk and squad harmony is fragile enough at the moment.

Nowhere near consistent enough as a player for what we need. But more importantly he has one of the worst attitudes in the game. From what I have heard he's a horrible little tw*t and would want him nowhere near my club. Someone like him could dangerously upset the morale in a dressing room.
