inside the ground is yes agree .

getting to the game is the problem and getting back out......

There's an away fans walkway to and from the train station that goes straight to the away end and the station is always snided with coppers & whenever I've been, we've always outnumbered them to and from London Bridge anyway

Brum away was my lads first away game, when he was 5. The game we lost 3-0 in the Cup.

We came across no mither that day whatsoever.

Only time we got in to trouble was once we got home and when his Mum asked if he'd had a good time he replied with

"Mum ...what's chlamydia?'

Anyone remember that lass in the home end with Mrs Larsson on the back of her shirt ? Whole away end chanting 'She's got chlamydia' at her

I have watched Wednesday at 57 different grounds. St Andrews is the ONLY ground I  have been scared.

I  took my lad about 10 at the time around 10 years  ago. After the match we first got penned in a coach park with 12 foot walls on all three sides. We got pelted with full house bricks, the old heavy engineering ones, not just the odd one either, coach windows went through women and kids dropping like flies.

After we survived this we had to make our way to the car. We witnessed the so called Zulus kicking the poo poo out of our fans wearing colours.

Then when we  made it to the car you have to sit in a long traffic jam to get to the motorway with the Zulu tail tugging tuggers scaring women and kids in the car.

We were chanting "flippinguseless" which seemed to wee wee them off.

Horrible place full of horrible people. that were a long ago though but I have hated them ever since.

My post has been edited we wasn't chanting Flipping Useless, der, der, der, der lol

In my experience, Bullring Travelodge is perfect for several reasons:

1) It is right on the edge of the Bullring, which makes it still city centre but it is on the correct side to be that little bit closer to the ground.

2) It is also on the edge of Chinatown, which is good for food.

3) There is loads of very cheep parking in the area for around £3-4 a day.

4) The main road that runs from there to the ground has several very popular bars on it.

Thanks for that.

Don't see why anybody would object to being frisked. Scum have been known to give kids stuff to take through

Well I believe it's highly illegal without a parent present/permission. This isn't the BBC.

Went round in 81 - if I hadn't double bogeyed 15 I'd have broken 80..perfect conditions too, no wind and clear skies.

1,2,17 and 18 are memorable, the rest not so much.

The New Course is better....Nice town too, just a bit commercialised sadly

All in all a nicer environment than the football ground of the same name  - that said, its a lot better than it used to be

Think maybe Birmingham getting judged on the old 'ZULU' days.

Last time i went, was a midweek night match last year or year before (i lose track) and no problems.

Like i said, we got there quite early, parked about 100 yards across from ground and walked back straight after match & no problems. Maybe coach park as quoted attracted a few hoolies but i didn't see any where we were.

Last time I went we played them in the cup, we got spanked 3-0 iirc, wasn't too long ago, and we got pelted with bricks/bottles/stones after the game. Police locked the gates so we were penned in the car park, scummy w*nkers were launching stuff over the walls. Coppers did nothing.

Can't say I'm in a rush to go back, not just because of that, but Birmingham is a dump, and Birmingham City are a horrible club. Always disliked them.
