Cc's lack of a tactical plan B (where's the flexibility) is more worrying than l'affair Fessi.

We had a plan B yesterday. Brought Nuhiu on and went route 1 to get Brentford penned in. It allowed us back in the game

None of the fancied sides have had great starts, newcastle only on 9 points, norwich and brighton 8, villa and derby are on same as us, if they were all on 15 it would be worrying but the leagues not settled down yet, 2 weeks to bring in a couple and get a couple fully match fit and work together as a team, 2 home games up next to get season up and running

The number of games that were turned by a half-time team talk or substitution were too many to remember.

If anything, I'd say it's not that CC doesn't have a plan B - it's that his plan B is often much better than his plan A.

I was very impressed with CC's will to change things early on in games last season, even if often frustrated that we'd start too slowly to a lot of games.

Agree strongly with this. It's our first halfs that let us down and let oppos ease into the matches.

We battered them first half.. Should have been 4 or 5 up. Its the losing focus for a few minutes when something goes against us that is a concern. Need to stay calm in those moments and not lose control of the game. Apart from 10 minutes after they scored we totally bossed it yesterday, but in those 10 minutes they could have scored a couple more. Something that can be sorted on the training pitch though. Need to switch to no-nonsense football when the opposition get a head of steam up. The best teams do this.

It's an easy get out clause to blame everything on the FF affair.  I can't imagine most of the players give a poo about it. If people think that we have had only one upsetting issue in the camp since CC has being in charge, then they are living in cloud cuckoo land.  With a set of young fit men then there are always going to be all sorts of issues which could ignite and get out of control.

At the end of the day once they step on the pitch, what ever issues they may have, should be forgotten and they must play in a professional manner.  If they don't thats the start of their decline, dropped, then eased out of the squad then sold on with a poor reputation, which the top clubs take very seriously.  Its in all the players interests to get those three points.

starting to actually 'play' football after 45 minutes of a game isn't a plan B...

it's an appalling attitude to starting a game...

with players wanting out, turning up over weight, not even fit let alone match fit, buying a host of midfielders when defenders and attackers are needed...

can you really not see what the problem is???

so it's one game 'red hot start' vs. one season of 'first half dross' then?

we need to start ALL our games at 100%, not just one, and use that one as a coverall for shyte tactics...

Flexibiltiy? Dropping the weakest links down the right flank. Replacing with better on the day. Creating chances form the word go. Going down to 10 men, making formation, substitutes & tactical changes to still keep attacking. Ultimately getting some reward. Hardly no plan B is there? Probably a C & D in there too.

Erm, that could also be a close team saying gerrit sorted or else !

The potential is there but equally summat is not right.

But then a players Union rep would always look for a positive towards the member they represent wouldn't they ? - especially if it's a lucrative one...hmm...

You get dafter by the post

apparently not fit yet

I don't understand why he wouldn't be fit

He did all of Watfords pre season including being involved in their matches prior to joining us

Then he has been fully involved in all our activity since

Unless there has been an injury that kept him from being fully involved with us?

He picked up a shoulder injury against Leeds.
