horny owl
We were on holiday in South Wales for that Everton game so we traveled up for the game and straight back down to Wales after. The kop was awesome in those days Its since been murdered by seats and brass bands such a shame.

Mountain Owl
Best thing to ever happen to the kop was stick a roof on it as it was the last ground in the country to have an uncovered home end, at last we could make some noise. The worst thing to happen to the kop was stick seats in it as that again has reduced the atmosphere. The golden kop years 1986 to 1993 were tremendous. The only way is S6
We sat in the upper Lepp for the 5-0 thumping of Burnley in the cup replay & the full, roofless kop looked fantastic.
johnnybalsace
Remember it well, great pictures. Wasn't there once a plan to remove the two poles, has this gone quiet now? It would make a massive difference to the ground.

Agreed although I think because of our boards decision to go cheap and stick some pillars in it, the kop also lost something and became not the same awesome terrace it was. BTW I thought it was seated summer 1992 not 1993 Edited August 26, 2016 by Geedee
