Ever the pessimist
Sounds obvious but our start will be crucial. Few hard fixtures in August. 10 points from the first 5 matches and we will be set.
The Night-Owl
At present I reckon: 1. Norwich 2. Newcastle --------------------------- 3. Wednesday (PO Winners) * 4. Derby (PO Runners-Up) 5. Brighton 6. Wolves ================ 22. Burton 23. Aston Villa 24. Rotherham * If we bring in a couple more quality players in. Especially a quality partner for Lees, then I could see us breaking into the top two. As it stands, I reckon we'll be close but seems like it will be between Norwich, Newcastle, Us and Derby. At present Norwich and Newcastle seem the most likely for top two to be honest.
owlZfan84
I agree with comments re: Villa. I really think the could struggle in this league. Newcastle top, but then I think we're well capable of 2nd.

Newcastle top, but then I think we're well capable of 2nd. Me too, I can see Villa self destructing and having another car crash of a season. They don't seem to have the players suited for the rough and tumble of a long slog of a Championship season. Newcastle, it all depends how they start but even if they start slow, they'll probably change their head coach and they've still got a strong squad and brought quality in. Norwich however are the more ready made to bounce straight back. They seem similar to Burnley in a way, and they need less work done than Newcastle or Villa to revive themselves. Then I reckon us and Derby are the next strongest squads, and either one of us could push Norwich and Newcastle all the way. The bottom spots are harder to predict at present. Can possibly see one or two surprises down there but Burton and Rotherham will find it tough to stay up. A couple more signings and it really could be our season to go up. Interesting to see people's opinion's/thought's so lets be having your predictions then... top 6, play off winners & bottom 3. I'll kick it off; 1) Newcastle 2) Norwich 3) Wednesday 4) Brighton 5) Derby 6) Bristol City (My dark horses...) Play off Winners - Wednesday - This time ! 22) Rotherham 23) Fulham 24) Blackburn Burton, Rotherham and Barnsley will surely be atleast 2 of the bottom 3. Can see QPR & Leeds struggling too... Would like to consider us serious candidates for the top 2, but there's now so many strong teams out there, will be a huge shock of Newcastle don't get automatic, even Villa and Norwich have both kept relatively strong squads. SWFC 2. Derby 3. Brighton 4. Birmingham 5. Wolves 6. Norwich Wolves to win play off final
Hirstys left peg
Would obviously love top 2 but I think we'll finish in the top 6, lots more expectancy this year.. This division gets harder every year due to the Premier league giving stupid amounts of money to the relegated sides..
Doghouse Daz
Big spending don't mean big results , only have to look at the disarray with the Prem big spenders last season , think more in the club feel good factor

pgmetcalf
In my 45 years as a Wednesday fan, I've learned not to make predictions or expectations and for that reason I can honestly say I've never been left disappointed
