Hutch At The Back

Recommended Posts

Him and Lees could be the best pairing at this level.

Two big concerns with Hutch:

1) He has knees made out of biscuits. Not even strong biscuits, proper rich tea biscuit like.

2) He's a bit of a numpty at times and will get suspended on more than a few occasions.

I'd prefer him at centre back too but he can't make the same sort of challenges inside the box like he does outside.

He had a solid game overall and looks good in this position but at the same time I though he was OFF when the did that totally unsubtle body check on that useless Scottish right-back and the blatant shirt pull that the linesman should have seen could have been given as a penalty.

Its never dull when he is on the pitch

Lees and Hutch were dominant in the air, only recall them losing one header of note to Gestede.

They didn't win every header but they certainly stopped Gestede getting in a clear header, even if he did win the ball. The header where he put McCormack through, was the only time Lees or Hutchinson really lost out in the air. However, it was a bit unconvincing at times, and against a side with better delivery, we might have come unstuck. I hope it's not Lees and Hutchinson against Burton Albion

1) He would have played 35+ games last season if he had not contracted glandular fever

2) His discipline playing at centre back is far better...he got booked in the 2nd leg after Brighton after 5 mins yet didn't get sent off...as for the penalty yesterday how come no one noticed he'd been pushed away before he grabbed his shirt

Hutch at the back said everyone attack, and it turned into a Wednesday Blitz

Abdi with a corner, said boy I'm gonna warn ya, there's gonna be a Wednesday Blitz, Wednesday Blitz.

Also kept his hands behind his back when defending a cross into the box to avoid a handball.

Else he was going to disguise the right hook.
