2016/17 Fixture List for iPhone, Android, etc

Recommended Posts

It's that time of year again...

What is it?

A subscribable calendar featuring all the Owls' fixtures for the 2016/17 season.

How does it work?

You subscribe (if you haven't done so in previous years) by following the instructions at http://swfc.me/fixtures and the fixtures will magically appear on your chosen device

When?

Shortly after they are released on Wednesday 22nd June at 9:30am.

Will it cost me owt?
No.

What's the catch?
There isn't one

Why are you doing this?
Out of the goodness of my heart.

Why not just use the link on the SWFC website to download the fixtures?
Because unlike the one on the SWFC website these are updated with fixture changes, results, and have links to maps and ground guides for all matches.

Can I subscribe now?
Yes. The fixtures for the new season will appear shortly after they are released. If you subscribe now, you'll have the added bonus of all the Euro 2016 fixtures on there.

What devices will this work with?

Anything which can read .ics calendar files - iPhones/iPads, Android, BlackBerry, Macs, PCs... pretty much anything really.

Help! I'm technically hopeless and have no idea what I'm doing!

Try following the instructions for your device at http://swfc.me/fixtures. If you're still struggling, post here for help.

Why do you have to have a computer to do this?

Are you on Android? That's the way it works for adding third party calendars on Android as far as I'm aware. Unless you know different? I have an Android phone for work, but I don't use it for calendaring.

I have no idea of any different way. It's really frustrating.

Being honest, I don't like signing i to Google for the poo poo sake of it.

Feels like extra eyes watching everything I do.

Unfortunately, that's the way Android is. No way around it, short of buying an iPhone...

If we already have last seasons fixtures (and the Euro's), will we automatically get next seasons list ?

In the past it seems to have been hit & miss, sometimes it has, sometimes it hasn't..

still brilliant of you though and a great addition !

Thanks mate and well done...

Yes, it's all on the same calendar, so if you don't see the 2016/7 fixtures once I've posted in here that they've been added, it's just a case of refreshing of your calendar - force closing and reopening the calendar app usually does it, failing that a reboot should do the trick. Google sometimes caches the calendar, but it should update eventually.
