Talk about a team being on fire. They are just lucky they do not have a city rival matching them step by step

Good, well done Reading.

If they get promoted that means Antonio remains ours through the playoffs if needed, with a chance of signing him next year.

He stays regardless!

That read wrong, if they go up, he will be surpless to requirements.

If they are fighting for the play offs and pick up a few niggling injuries he can be recalled.

Currently Reading 0 - 0 Notts Forest and Bristol City 1 - 1 West Ham. Its worth mentioning Coventry and Portsmouth could both be relegated tonight too.

the BBC football website is an embarrassment now - took ages to update the Reading goasl and only just a few minutes ago updated the live table - i was wondering why everybody was saying that Reading were promoted...

Looks like big Sham is gonna have to win the play offs - best squad, biggest budget by a distance - well done!

Just explained this to my wife, as her pupils are Reading fans.

No 'stars' just a good team.

They have had an amazing run.

Just shows what can be done.

No meek targets of 'good draws' or conceding late on in games.

Well done Reading, totally deserving promotion thanks to dominating the form table with utter confidence.

Got to say that ALF played his part scoring some crucial goals. Well done Alf congratulations Reading.

On another note what a coincidence it will be if both West Ham and ourselfs are in the Play-Off finals in the same season again.

Much like Sunderland in 1999 - having lost the previous season's play-off final they've dusted themselves down and done an incredible job. McDermott has done very well there and they have some talented players that should thrive in the top flight.

How I would love to see scenes like that at Hillsborough one day.

As for Fat Sam, how on Earth have they not ran away with the league with that team?

Would love nothing better than to see the tvvat out on his arse at the end of the season. Shame because I have a lot of time for West Ham.

Don't want to change this into a thread re Le Fondre / Marshall.

I know for a fact Marshall and Le Fondre were offered A LOT more money for them teams than with us. Also, a chance to play at a higher level with better bonuses and a more solid future.

They did nothing wrong and in there situation i'd have done the same.

My last post on this eventually yes they were offered more money but both were offered to us before speaking to the other clubs there was a window oppertunity that we missed that also is a FACT

And to think they have ripped the division a new one - and blitzed much bigger spending clubs - and they do it with and active policy of selling their best/most valuable players and buying cheaper replacements.

They always aim to recoup from player sales and spend less than they get in.

But it can't be done right?

Never get anywhere by selling your best players

Perhaps somebody needs to tell Brian McDermott and Chris Powell...
