He’s always been a lazy player with a questionable attitude and never been someone to rely on when the going gets tough. Yes he was unfairly treated by the previous manager but was brought back into the fold by DR and was showing levels of performance previously unseen from him. We obviously now know this was because he thought he was off to Ipswich with a nice new contract on the table with a possible promotion bonus and maybe a years Prem wages, all hypothetical of course but confidence boosting for Marvin. We rightly declined the offer of no transfer money, which in turn caused Marvin to spit the dummy out and feign injury for the Huddersfield game. We’re now back to having a half arsed player who turns up when he feels like it. The OP is 100% correct and people saying he could be our player of the season need to give their head a shake, but comments like that prove how totally atrocious we are.

There is enough land around the existing Middlewood site to create a top class facility. Unfortunately it needs, foresight, the will and money. Unfortunately our owner has none of those traits.

I think the statements were wrong

I’ve been going to Hillsborough for over 40 years and I’ve never thought we’re a racist group of supporters and i personally think saying that we’ve got a massive problem is simply wrong. I’ve always felt we’ve backed every player of whatever colour or race and supported them while they wear the shirt., and also respected other players of colours that have represented their clubs, I highlight Dion Dublins reception for his last game as a pro. Every club has its undesirables and football does strange things to certain individuals, not always good. The behaviour often crosses the line like it did last Saturday which was absolutely deplorable but I refuse to accept that we’re a racist bunch of supporters and we have a problem, as far as football supporters go I think we’re a pretty decent bunch and it annoys me that just a handful of ill educated individuals tars us all with the same brush. Sorry if I’ve upset a few of you but I’m proud of my club and 99% of us are decent folk
