  1. Twas the right call though, Gregory interfering with goalkeeper in an offside position,
  2. what’s to say Neil Thompson couldn’t be an excellent manager at this level. It’s not like he’s had a fair go at it and failed (sacked) like many of the names being touted on here already have. In fact he’s had some success with our minors even lifting a trophy as main coach in 2017, (and 2018?) he may not be a man of great charisma and smart one liners in the media but in my opinion the real talents of managing a team are shown away from the public eye, that is in the training ground, on the touch line and whatever happens in his office in the day to day grind. Looking at this as objectively as I can he has made sensible team selections and coached pragmatically meanwhile getting a large chunk of our points haulage this season in his short time in charge. The players do seem more up for which I don’t think is entirely down to getting rid of big Tone. Having been involved in academy football for a long period he will have some knowledge and perhaps even an eye for talent in the transfer market, which will be handy since we are potless atm. we are probably not in a position to pick and choose anyway so I’m on the give him a good go bandwagon for the foreseeable
  3. A friend ive never seen before in my life just whispered ”footybite” in my ear. Not sure what to make of it
  4. also no pass astray, always forward thinking, constructive clever with just the right balance of risk/reward. what at footballing brain this lad has... tackled with purpose too. 9/10 game.
  5. I agree with most of this but the comparison was Primarily in the conversion bit. i haven’t seen Iorfa taking many shots at goal but I do believe that this is something that could be coached into his game. Natural abilities like strength, pace, positioning, general smartness and time and place intuition less so
  6. Sorry just panicking a little bit from this here fletcher situation.. until recently I had a strong belief that this might be our season of glory
  7. I’ve been watching our best centre back closely now these last 3 months and have come to the conclusion that he could be our next warhurst-like unlikely converted hard working, stamina in abundance, strong, speedy, eye for goal (proved already it with his Dead ball heading abilities), target-man able, discreetly (smart) fouling, lone striker alternative to fletch. when I was a kid the best players eventually ended up as forwards and lets all admit he does have standout qualities, obviously not previously recognised by wolves... we do have adequate cover at centre back with börner, lees. let’s go for it and turn a 10m£ centerback into a 30m£ drogba lookalike. discuss...
  8. They do, but will obviously name a reserve side as they have other commitments elsewhere
  9. Guess I’ve misjudged this. Let’s play the alfretons and Blyth Spartans of this world, score sheiteloads and then take that form on
  10. Every year we seem to arrange friendlies against opponents in league 1, 2 and below. I feel as though trying yourself against equal or better sides would prime the squad more efficiently towards what’s at hand. 4-0 at Northampton seems pointless compared to practising time on the ball or retaining structure at -say - Norwich, Celtic or Everton: or is it a given law that we cannot prepare against these?
  11. Roland Nilsson apparently in frame, would be a decent option
