  1. Please just leave him be.....he just rediscovering that first season form.........let him just concentrate on doing that consistently, he has enough responsibility to focus on. He doesn't need any other distractions
  2. Excellent OMDT! Come on you blue bodied and white sleeved wizzards!
  3. As ever, Pauli..............well almost! Come on you yellow and fuzzy black striped wizzards!
  4. These graphs were excellent last season and I enjoyed them..........2pts per game average and we will all enjoy them even more this time around. Great work, Ryan, thanks for your time and effort!
  5. I am looking forward to a blistering start: w,w,w,w,w = 15 pts I am looking forward to SWFC becoming the first Championship 'Invincibles'. I am looking forward to being promoted by February I am looking forward to winning the FA Cup Well there is no point looking backwards......... Onwards and upwards!
  6. I remember my first game with vivid images. Taken by my dad: 60-61 season: Home to Spurs: Packed Hillsborough: Night match: 2-1 to Wednesday: Johnny Fantham winner: OMG.........the start of a long and tortuous journey that I would not swap for a £100,000..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................well, OK, maybe for a million but not a penny less
  7. I have enjoyed these posts....even the repeated ones IMO what they have clearly revealed (we probably knew already but they have sharpened the focus) is that we do have an abundance not only of riches but also of permutations. This is brilliant over the course of a long and gruelling season but it brings the obvious danger. Namely, how the hell do you ever know what is your best 1st XI? I have argued on here previously that perhaps we should no longer think in terms of an XI but much more of an XVIII. I think this is how CC perceives the 94+ minutes of every game.....a contest involving 14 players selected from 18 according to circumstance. I wish it were simpler but I fear it no longer is, nor can it be. To answer the original question: I don't bloody know!!..................................OK: to come off the fence: Wallace & Hunt / Boyd and Pudil.............I think????
  8. Great post and one that really isolates the dilemma and illustrates the problem. It has promoted thoughtful debate.........not clueless name blame reaction. If I follow the strict rules then I am struggling alongside everyone else; my preference would be to go with Lee and Bannan for reasons of using the tried and tested and with fond memories of the Arsenal game and the home play-off tie against Brighton (there were times in CC's first season when the team were on fire with these two at CM). In reality I suspect CC will chop and change according to the opposition and the whether we are home/away. In reality also, there will be injuries/suspensions that force changes.
  9. Westwood Lees Rhodes Hutch Hooper Well, why not? !!.............About as realistic as some of the ridiculous suggestions on here!!
  10. Agree.............but with Bannan, Reach, Abdi, Wallace, Boyd, Forresteri, even Pudil, (have I missed anyone?) in the squad. surely it is worth having a 25 yard punt at the net if the opening appears. Nothing better for crowd morale than a 'screamer' into the top corner
  11. ^^^^^^ This has got to be the most sensible view....the logical view: but since when has logic had anything to do with the football supporters' mind. Secretly I reckon we all hope/dream that MM will come good for us and be like a new £6,000,000 signing. Sorry but that is just the way it is, isn't it??
  12. Smart, smart band................there's a line up worth talking about in pre-season. 'Art for Art's Sake...Money for God's Sake'..............DC's philosophy? Sorry to confuse anyone below the age of 40!!
