I take no pride in saying this but yes I absolutely knew that the previous years semi final was almost a disaster. I don’t know if that’s because my Dad was a copper who worked the disaster and we’ve naturally talked about it many times since, or I’ve watched all the TV docs. I’d guess both. Let’s see common sense though, the stand is structurally sound however how we are asking for it to be used is stretching it to its limits so it needs measures and procedures to be in place and strictly adhered to. Looking at the state of our club and the way it is administered, I’m no longer convinced that we are capable of this.
