  1. He gave a pretty bizarre interview after the game including - "Unfortunately, being part of Millwall isn't something you wake up to being really excited about at the moment, it's a grind." https://t.co/wCXISNBxFy
  2. Carson's impact was huge - the defence could suddenly move 20 metres further forward and build a platform to score goals and win games. Instant impact too. A top quality player, full of confidence. Kept us up almost single handed.
  3. He's attempting to pass the ball, even the best passers shank the odd one. Some of his distribution was very good and sharp. Dawson just lumps it aimlessly forward and sometimes doesn't even get that right.
  4. They actually did all their buying before they sold Bale https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013–14_Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C._season
  5. Rich from the podcast here: We've just released our Mid-Season Review episodes, giving all the players a school-style grade from A-E (and maybe one F if memory serves). There's also a couple of chapters from the long, lost Tolkien manuscript The Legend of Sal Bibbo.
  6. Might not hurt for us fans to make a bit of a fuss over him - starting with a catchy song and singing it a load.
  7. A lot of fans moaned about Antonio and slagged him rotten when he was here.
  8. £2m to be exchanged for 100% of the club, until everyone is paid back in full.
  9. Does anyone who listens to the podcast know who Ryan Dilks supports? That 'pass it to Sarr' line sounds well trodden and a touch bitter, makes me wonder if he supports a team who lost out to Watford that season. What he says about Xisco's time in the Premier League is pretty harsh and somewhat provably wrong - Watford were 14th when they sacked him and after 7 games he'd already won 1/3 of all the points they'd get in the whole of that season.
  10. Just to demonstrate your point about a clubs obligations, I know this was a while ago but Robbie Fowler was still being paid by Leeds even when he was at Man City - https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/money-pit-that-is-leeds-united-7228789.html#:~:text=The Leeds chairman also revealed, them £800%2C000 in total. If his contract is worth £6m a year then Leicester are obliged to pay that whether they play him or not - if they don't plan to play him and Wednesday can cover £2m of that then Leicester have saved £2m. There's other factors like the possibility he might trigger another year by playing X amount of games for them, which they'd want to avoid too.
  11. Liked the look of Key against us too, comfortable on the ball, versatile and a bit of pace. I think he played 3 different positions against us at S6 and grabbed a goal. Contract is up and he seems to want away.
  12. It seemed to me that every area was available when I went on yesterday morning - maybe the filling and emptying is people putting things in their basket then not completing the purchase - once you got through to a certain step they then held your reservation for 40 minutes or so. Hundreds or thousands of 40 minute holds could be quite significant all added together. I can't remember if that timer was before or after you allocated people to each ticket, so potentially I could load my basket with lots of tickets and then find I couldn't actually purchase them.
  13. Another Update We have just released our Partly Positive, Partly Pessimistic PlayOff Preview Podcast and we are planning a flurry of podcasts in the coming weeks. Old skool match reviews for the semi-finals and hopefully the final and a monster season review too.
  14. Was anyone else centre of the Kop like I was? My distinct memory (different to the appearance on the replay) was of a gap between Gregory and the ball, rather than him jumping over it. Anyone else have the same view? To my mind the replay is a bit of an optical illusion because it looks like Gregory is right on top of the keeper but in fact there was a good metre or so between them and the ball rolled through this gap, marginally closer to the keeper. It's made me more convinced that the decision was based on the replay because the lino would have seen this gap from his angle, but understandably would have to give offside based on the replay. But I know the mind plays tricks and memory is fallible (mine more than most!).
