Assuming we currently have minimal ££ available to spend on wages for new signings (loans or freebies), I can see why we’re holding out for the best deal possible for Smith, especially as Warne knows him and clearly wants him there. He’s probably our only realistic route to getting in quality this window. Say we end up getting a £150k loan fee plus his wages paid up in full- that should be approx. £350k to spend on wages for a couple of decent new players. If we just got 5k a week of his wages paid as some here would jump at then it’s not enough to get any quality in. Ok there’s a decent chance that Derby look elsewhere but you’ve got to realize the value that your assets have

My god this thread… Loads saying that ‘she’s crap’ and it’s just my opinion - gender doesn’t come into it.. That may be what you believe, but unfortunately the sheer number of comments like this show that gender does come into it, there’s clearly some unconscious bias there that doesn’t get expressed to the same level when a male ref has a poor performance (which we all know they do on a regular basis)

Their second goal you have to question Röhl's tactics. Still pressing high in last 10 mins with lots of tired legs. 7 players at or near the halfway line, only one (Johnson) makes a half-hearted attempt to engage.. Rest are ball-watching/drawn to the ball No defensive midfielder shielding. Defenders panic and all make bad decisions (Diaby comes out to try to win ball but doesn't, Ihiekwe tries to play offside, Iorfa doesn't)- leaves them with 3 players through and only 1 defender back, basically a guaranteed goal at this level. Its just naive play all round, why are we still trying to win the ball back high when our players are knackered and 1-1 is a decent result? Or rather, why are we in position to try to win the ball back high up, but not actually trying to do it?? Why no DM? Why so many of our players ball-watching? Why don't our defenders react as a team?
